En 2001 salió «Amanece el cantor», su primer poemario escrito en español, un homenaje a José Ángel Valente. Escribió el año siguiente en Ronda el ciclo «Contraluz», poemario que sigue más o menos la misma línea mística-filosófica de “el Camino”. La edición rumana fue laureada como mejor libro de poesía extranjera por la Universidad Ovidius en la Feria Internacional del Libro. El poemario “En la corriente del tiempo, Meditaciones en el Himalaya”, ha sido premiado en España con el XXXVII Premio de Poesía Juan Alcaide 2008 y en 2015 con el Gran Premio de Poesía Mihai Eminescu en Rumania. Se publicó también en 2008 su “Selected Poetry of Germain Droogenbroodt”, inglés-chino, en Shangai, China.
