Desde el 16 de noviembre de 2010, en que la UNESCO declaró al Flamenco Patrimonio Cultural Inmaterial de la Humanidad, este día se ha convertido en el Día del Flamenco. Una fecha para celebrar y para recordar que este hecho cultural exclusivamente español, ya era desde más de un siglo antes de esta fecha una realidad cultural de rango internacional.
