COLOMBIA: SANTA MARTA DISTRICT MAYOR AND DIARIO LA LIBERTAD ARTICULATE STRATEGIES FOR HEALTHY COEXISTENCE OF YOUNG PEOPLE IN BARRIO BASTIDAS

En el marco de la estrategia que adelanta la Secretaría de Seguridad y Convivencia Ciudadana y Diario LA LIBERTAD se desarrolla el enfoque de la seguridad con sentido social, desarrollando acciones con los jóvenes de 14 barrios de Santa Marta.

Within the framework of the strategy carried out by the Secretariat for Security and Citizen Coexistence and Diario LA LIBERTAD, the approach to security with a social sense is developed, developing actions with young people from 14 neighborhoods of Santa Marta.

La Alcaldía Distrital ve con beneplácito estas estrategias que trabaja un componente social para que los jóvenes ocupen sus espacios de ocio en actividades recreativas y deportivas con el fin de que inviertan su tiempo libre en la práctica de actividades deportivas.

The District Mayor’s Office welcomes these strategies that a social component works so that young people occupy their leisure spaces in recreational and sports activities in order to invest their free time in the practice of sports activities.

Por esta razón se vincula el Diario La Libertad en el marco de su responsabilidad social empresarial en conjunto con la Alcaldía Distrital, en cabeza de Virna Johnson en la entrega de uniformes para los equipos de futbol barriales y balones de futbol.

For this reason, La Libertad newspaper is linked within the framework of its corporate social responsibility in conjunction with the District Mayor’s Office, headed by Virna Johnson in the delivery of uniforms for neighborhood soccer teams and soccer balls.

La entrega simbólica de los primeros uniformes se realizaron en el barrio Bastidas, y estuvieron presentes el comandante de la Policía Metropolitana Jesús de los Reyes, la secretaria de Seguridad y Convivencia Ciudadana, Coronel Sandra Vallejo y la directora del Diario LA LIBERTAD, (CEO) Luz Marina Esper Fayad.

The symbolic delivery of the first uniforms took place in the Bastidas neighborhood, and the commander of the Metropolitan Police Jesús de los Reyes, the secretary of Security and Citizen Coexistence, Colonel Sandra Vallejo and the director of the newspaper LA LIBERTAD, (CEO) were present. Cabe anotar que paralelo a estas actividades deportivas se llevará a cabo una Escuela de Padres para enseñar y fortalecer no solamente los buenos hábitos de los jóvenes, sino como los padres pueden ponerlo en práctica a través de una guía que los acompañará para que mejoren la crianza y educación en casa de sus hijos.

La estrategia de equipos de futbol se inició en Bastidas y continuará en otros sectores aledaños a la vía alterna al puerto desde Mamatoco hasta la Sociedad Portuaria, donde se focalizaron los barrios más críticos en tema de delincuencia, vandalismo, micrográfico y consumo de drogas.

The soccer team strategy began in Bastidas and will continue in other sectors surrounding the alternate route to the port from Mamatoco to the Port Society, where the most critical neighborhoods were focused on crime, vandalism, micrographs and drug use.

“Pudimos reunir a muchos jóvenes qué quieren hacer un proceso de resocialización, otros que desean oportunidades de trabajo y estudios, torneos deportivos. También se trabaja en una mesa de concertación de pacto de no insistir en indisciplina social y delincuencia”, indicó Sandra Vallejo.

Más de 14 barrios serán intervenidos como estos programas con sentido social que lidera la Secretaría de Convivencia Ciudadana como: Galicia, Cardonales, Pantano, Bastidas, Ondas del Caribe, Cerro de la Estrella, San Fernando, San Jorge, San Martín, Nacho Vives, Chimila 1 y 2, Altos de Chimila, entre otros.
