Art on the net: Javier Bedoya from Colombia

Javier Bedoya, talentosísimo pintor, dibujante y grabador autodidacta de estilo neo-impresionista cuyas pinturas giran en torno al erotismo femenino, que hoy presentamos al Mundo.

Javier, nació un 5 de noviembre de 1961 en una tierra hermosa, en donde se puede conjugar el descanso con la naturaleza y la cultura: el Municipio de Santuario del departamento de Risaralda, ubicado a 64 km de la capital departamental. Turísticamente hablando, es un lugar muy emblemático que alberga gran parte del parque Nacional Natural Tatamá y el Parque Municipal Natural Planes de San Rafael, razón por la se le conoce como «La Perla de Tatamá».

Javier was born on November 5, 1961 in a beautiful land, where you can combine rest with nature and culture: the Municipality of Sanctuary of the department of Risaralda,
located 64 km from the departmental capital in the central-western region of the department. Touristically speaking, It is a very emblematic place that houses a large part of the Tatamá National Natural Park and the Planes de San Rafael Municipal Natural Park, reason for which it is known as «La Perla de Tatamá».

Acerca de su vida, Javier Bedoya proviene de una familia de campesinos agricultores de escasos recursos económicos a la que se suma el abandono de su padre, lo que marcaría su vida por lo que se vió obligado a trabajar y a asumir la responsabilidad de la familia de la cual el era el mayor de 6 hermanos cuando apenas contaba con 12 años de edad. Teniendo claro su vocación, «lo que le era muy difícil echar andar», justamente por atender los compromisos familiares, del campo, por lo que era muy poco el tiempo que le quedaba para dedicarse a lo suyo: El arte.

About his life, Javier Bedoya comes from a family of peasant farmers with few economic resources, who is joined by his father’s abandonment, which would mark his life so he was forced to work and take responsibility for the family of which he was the eldest of 6 brothers when he was barely 12 years old. Being clear about his vocation, «which was very difficult to get going», precisely to attend to family commitments, from the countryside, so there was very little time left to devote to his: art.

Su vida no fue como la de muchos niños, justamente por tener que ayudar a su familia, así que los días en que podía dedicarlos al ocio y al entretenimiento natural con amigos de su edad los dedicaba indiscutiblemente a su gran pasión. Por aquel entonces a dibujar hasta fortalecer poco a poco su gran talento, desarrollando más sus hábilidades y destrezas que le ayudaron en el proceso, leyendo mucho y cultivándose al respecto en el manejo de materiales, conocimientos técnicos… Labor que como el mismo señala: «fué un lento proceso basado en la constancia y el sacrificio» al que nosotros, su público, sus admiradores y los amantes del arte en si, le decimos: «Enhorabuena lo conseguiste y ¡vaya que sí!»…

His life was not like that of many children, precisely because he had to help his family, so the days when he could dedicate them to leisure and natural entertainment with friends his age he undoubtedly dedicated to his great passion. Javier Bedoya ingresó al mundo del arte por necesidad, ya que las labores del campo para él aparte de ser difíciles eran muy mal pagadas, por lo que en 1982 se va a radicar a Medellín y nó lo pensó dos veces cuando se le presentó la oportunidad de entrar en el mundo del arte para lo cual ya tenia bastantes conocimientos y una serie de obras y dibujos. Sin embargo, para él no todo fue un camino de rosas ya que tuvo que vencer otros muchos obstáculos más, ya que en Colombia, en las artes plásticas solo se surge por medios propios porque el apoyo del estado es nulo para los artistas sumado a que son como marginados por los mismos políticos que no crean ni realizan ningún tipo de leyes que les apoyen y les faciliten las cosas al artista plástico.

No obstante, son incontables las veces en las que se «busca al artista» para que «done» sus obras en actividades altruistas a la que Javier Bedoya participa con mucho agrado pero sin embargo en otras actividades son totalmente olvidados sin entender los políticos que ellos son los que hacen MARCA PAÍS.

Entendemos que los artistas plásticos de Colombia, de los cuales Javier no fue la excepción, muchas veces les toca soportar la indiferencia con que son menospreciadas sus obras en su propio pais al momento de «comprarlas» y en muchos casos tratando de explotar al artista. Pero podría aplicarse aquello de «Nadie es profesta en su tierra» ya que al cierre de esta edición Javier Bedoya y sus obras están siendo admiradas y valoradas internacionalmente y hacemos vivas porque sean expuestas en el Mundo como lo que son «Unas verdaderas joyas de arte Colombiano, patrimonio de la humanidad gracias a este incomparable artista Javier Bedoya».

Hacer y brindarnos arte, es la misión de vida de Javier Bedoya al que se entrega en cuerpo y alma, ya que nació para ser artista a lo que dice: «Cuando uno ama lo que hace no es difícil ser pintor toda la vida, es mi mundo y es lo que se hacer», en otras palabras lo que ha hecho es seguir a su corazón con pasión, devoción y firmeza desde que hizo sus primeros dibujos y pinturas recordando con mucho cariño la primera: «unas orquideas» para lo que solo le bastó una lámina en donde realizó una copia de esas flores quedándo hermosas por las que sintió como a hoy «gran fascinación». Así mismo dice: «Recuerdo que mis primeros dibujos eran inspirados en la obra de Rembrandt, era mi pintor favorito, y por varios años utilice mucho de su claroscuro». Y sobre el realismo Javier recalca: «Siempre me ha fascinado el realismo, es lo que me gusta y siento, por este lado me queda fácil expresarme». Por otro lado en su taller siempre esta «experimentando» con nuevas cosas, materiales, formas, texturas, es decir que siempre se esta «reinventando» y estudiando nuevos referentes dentro de lo que le gusta: lo figurativo.

Sin lugar a dudas Javier Bedoya es todo un gran ejemplo de perserverancia ya que desde que comienza a pintar es lo que destaca de él, La habilidad en el manejo de los materiales, lo que le facilitó fluir con esa destreza tal, para que a hoy tenga más de 20 mil obras realizadas, contando con el total apoyo y soporte de su familia desde sus inicios en que siempre estuvieron a su lado y de su lado. Animándole y lo que haga falta para desarrollar su gran pasión esa que como él manifiesta: «No puedes controlar, siempre hay proyectos, nuevas cosas para hacer, y no puedo bajar la intensidad».
