Mis comentarios sobre esta investigación, jamás podrán tener la profundidad de quien le ha dedicado la mitad del tiempo de vida, que el autor empleó para escribirla. No obstante, el navegar por la superficie, ante aguas tan cristalinas, me ha sido posible aproximarme para ver su fondo, por ello me atreví a escribir esta nota editorial. Entre otras cosas para satisfacción propia, y para desintoxicarme de la crisis política que vive mi país, Colombia.

My comments on this investigation can never have the depth of someone who has dedicated half of the life time that the author used to write it. However, navigating on the surface, in front of such crystal clear waters, it has been possible for me to get closer to see its bottom, which is why I dared to write this editorial note. Among other things for my own satisfaction, and to detoxify myself from the political crisis that my country, Colombia, is experiencing.

Antes de referirme a tan interesante tema, llevado al modo investigativo del orden literario, quiero deciros ¿quién es Guillermo Gómez Paz? Guillermo Gómez Paz es abogado y lector consagrado. Pero aun asi, no faltará que alguien me diga, que ya saben quién es, y más, que hoy su nombre está radicado en el contexto internacional de los vernologos, y hasta forma parte de un círculo de estudiosos del tema, algo asi como la academia de estudios de los investigadores de la vida de Verne. Y… si asi piensan, pues me alegro que asi sea, solo que, lo que os voy a decir, es que Guillermo, es tan sencillo, que se resume en una oración de corta extensión, de pero de gran calibre.

Para empezar, les digo que GUILLO, es un ciudadano ejemplar, virtuoso como pocos, perseverante en el silencio y la modestia, amigo de infancia, que ha centrado su vida a su hogar muy lejos del mundanal ruido, para dedicarse a las letras, mientras que su esposa TERE, tambien lectora, es una profesora del arte pictórico en la modalidad de acuarela, que esta considerada como sobresaliente entre quienes deslizan sobre el papel un pincel, que flota por el agua dejando una estela de colores tenues, que le dan vida, dinámica y expresión a todas sus obras. De ahí el que yo diría: Dios los cría, y el arte y las letras, los une en una alianza de comprensión tan admirable, como los viajes y maravillas de Julio Verne.

Hence what I would say: God creates them, and art and letters unite them in an alliance of understanding as admirable as the travels and wonders of Jules Verne.

Todos, desde que nos iniciamos en culturizarnos a través de la lectura, nos volvemos amantes de los estilos y contenidos de los escritores, a tal punto, que muchas veces nos contagian tanto, que asumimos sus tendencias ideológicas, estilos y formas, para seguir cada trazo, admirándolos aun en la diversidad de sus construcciones de pensamientos, filosofía de vida, maneras de escribir, y esa sumatoria de cosas, nos hace inicialmente indefinibles, hasta que con el paso del tiempo, nos transformamos y construimos nuestra propia identidad, nutrida por la variedad de estilos, que con el paso de los años, nos otorgan sabiduría para construir nuestro sello propio, muchas veces tan definidos, que no hace falta poner nuestro nombre al pie de un texto, porque se vuelve identificable con el solo hecho de leerlo. Asi pasa tambien en el arte pictórico, en la voz del cantante, o en la nota del periodista o el libro del escritor, o el ocurrente, que, al escucharle sus locuras, alguien diga: ahí está pintado.

This also happens in pictorial art, in the singer’s voice, or in the journalist’s note or the writer’s book, or the witty one, that, when listening to his madness, someone says: there it is painted.

El autor de este trabajo investigativo, “LAS CLAVES DE JULIO VERNE” obedece a muchos años de búsqueda, tantos, como la mitad de la existencia del escritor Gómez Paz que la escribió. Entonces me surge y asalta por curiosidad la pregunta: ¿porqué esa dedicación a VERNE, y no a otros científicos, que nos han dado la posibilidad, a través de la teoría de la relatividad de Albert Einstein, para saber que la dilación del tiempo, es una diferencia de este, en la que media una velocidad que implica su campo gravitacional?. Que decir de Edison como inventor de la luz incandescente. O hablar de Issac Newton, que descubre las leyes naturales que gobiernan los movimientos de la tierra y tambien los cuerpos celestes que son cuerpos observables que tienen identidad física y tal hecho le ha permitido a la ciencia no desconocerlo, ni menos negar su existencia. Issac Newton descubre la gravedad en el año de 1687. Julio Verne escribe sobre la ciencia y la ficción en el trascurso del siglo XX y muere el 1905 en Francia en la ciudad de Amiens. Y Albert, Einstein publica la Teoría de la Relatividad en 1905, precisamente en el mismo año, que Julio Verne fallece. Todos estos detalles me llevan a pensar, que, del mismo modo como Newton en su momento y año, descubre la gravedad, de otra parte, Einstein, se refiere a la relatividad.

A mi manera de pensar, el componente de estos científicos investigadores, le permitió a Julio Verne, materializar a través de la ficción, los que matemáticamente o mediante la física, permitió se contemplara, y que Julio Verne logro graficar con su mente prodigiosa todos esos cuerpos materiales, basado en las teorías de la gravedad y la relatividad, que le permitió seguramente contemplar la idea que el hombre podría volar algún día y tambien navegar por debajo del agua, observando dichas teorías. Lo que se estimó en su momento y luego posterior, como una simple ficción, años más tarde, se volvió una realidad. Son escritores cuya narrativa ejercen una notable influencia, como lo hizo Edgar Allan Poe.

Quienes leímos a Verne, lo admiramos como un escritor recreativo de la imaginación, que nos centra en los detalles de sus apasionantes ocurrencias, para dejarnos flotar en su espléndida imaginación, tal vez por eso, nos distanciamos de la importancia del concepto que reviste su obra, que para el desarrollo de la humanidad en muchos campos tocan la tecnología, otrora desconocida por completo. Guillermo, en su dispendioso estudio, lo titula como: Las Claves de Julio Verne, y se concentra en descubrir esas virtudes, que, gracias a la ficción y a los descubrimientos teóricos de los científicos antes mencionados, Verne, los hizo realidad, a través de la ficción.

Lo admirable de su proeza literaria, es que, lo que parecía irrealizable, resulto lo contrario y muy positivo para el mundo de la ciencia. Todas sus las ideas fueron necesarias para hacer posible, lo que se veía imposible, porque se consideraba propio de la ficción que dista mucho de la realidad. Verne abrió la imaginación de las productoras de películas, para que siguieran creando imaginarias de imposible realización, para que la ciencia avance, y sepa, que toda inventiva, algún día, puede servirle a la humanidad para avanzar en todos los campos del saber.

What is admirable about his literary feat is that what seemed impossible turned out to be the opposite and very positive for the world of science. Hoy subimos a la luna. ¿Quién podría pensar en semejante posibilidad? Y hasta se está pensando vivir en Marte. Creo y me atrevo a asegúralo, que esa fue y sigue siendo la motivación de Guillermo Gómez Paz, para considerar que en Verne están las claves del éxito, al considerarlo como el estimulante de la ciencia y la tecnología, cosa que logró a base de la ficción. El trabajo literario de Guillermo, nos ubica en un contexto realista de gran crédito y Valia quienes les gusta crear, inventar. Para gracias a Julio Verne el mundo logró avances que se derivan de sus magistrales obras.

Quienes nos dedicamos a escribir, o los profesionales de la arquitectura, el diseño, la ciencia en sí, todo es posible hacerlo, porque al conocer la teoría de la gravedad y la relatividad, solo se requiere de una mente creativa como la de Verne para volver realidad una inverosímil ocurrencia. Y si se es poseedor persistente de una vocación investigativa para descubrir sus claves, como lo ha hecho Guillermo Gómez Paz, pues mucho mejor. Guillo, luego de muchos años de estudio del personaje, nos pone en orbita para que cada uno empecemos a descubrir lo que tenemos e ignoramos, porque llevamos en nuestra mente un pedazo de Julio Verne, que débenos aprovechar. Julio Verne abrió los espacios de la creatividad, y Guillermo al escribir sobre su narrativa de aventuras, nos invita a que nos atrevamos a imitarlo, pues lo que, para unos, se estima como un absurdo, el tiempo que es sabiduría, lo convierte en profético para que sea realizable. Solo hay que intentar una y otra vez.
