SEXUAL REASSIGNMENT, A TABOO BEHIND THE OPEN DOORS OF OUR REALITY?

Luego de conversar con mi prometida, (que no les diré quién es de momento), sobre nuestros artículos y conversar que era lo próximo que íbamos hacer, entre broma y en serio hablamos sobre su «timbre de voz» un poco ronca y salió el tema de la reasignación sexual en los transgéneros, simplemente por curiosidad.

Cuándo era pequeño, los adultos hablaban sobre el término transgénero y puse «la oreja en la pared» para ver a qué se refería. Al hablar los adultos sobre esta «distinción sexual», de las personas que no se sienten identificadas, parcial o totalmente, con el género con el que nacieron.

En 1982, aún estando joven, no me dejaban participar en las conversaciones de adultos con la familia, pero… escuché de un hombre que por invitación de su esposa Gerda Wegener, se puso traje y tacones, ese hombre fue Einar Mogens, que más tarde se convirtió Lili Elbe, convirtiéndose en «trans», luego de cinco cirugías y el resto es historia. Su vida fue llevada al cine por un intrépido y atrevido director que rompió esquemas en su época.

En mi etapa de adulto y como buen investigador, conocí del tema leyendo, me instruí como todo en la vida. Aprendí, un sin fin de términos que no me enseñaron en la clase de salud, cuando estaba en plena pubertad. Solo escuche a mi buen maestro de matemáticas el Sr. Hernández, quien por su cuenta nos orientaba del tema en salud y después nos daba un examen para saber que habíamos aprendido.

In my adult stage and as a good researcher, I learned about the subject by reading, I educated myself like everything in life. I learned endless terms that I wasn’t taught in health class when I was going through puberty. I just listened to my good math teacher, Mr. Hernández, who on his own guided us on the topic of health and then gave us a test to find out what we had learned.

Usted, amigo lector que me está leyendo y aprendiendo con humor, debemos tener claro el respetar y valorar a las personas, no importa su orientación sexual.

Yo tengo un hijo con orientación diferente, lo amo y lo valoro, pero el eligió su vida y yo decidí el a mía, al igual que muchos padres también pedirán lo mismo, respeto por la personas LGTBIQ+ (Acrónimo que engloba toda la diversidad de orientaciones sexuales, identidades y expresiones de género que existen a día de hoy. Siglas que designan al colectivo compuesto por lesbianas, gays, transgéneros, transexuales, bisexuales, intersexuales, queer y el resto de identidades y orientaciones incluidas en el +, que nos indica que el colectivo sigue en constante crecimiento).

Todos tenemos un propósito y opciones en esta vida y mientras escribía con simpatía este artículo, la canción de Willie Colón, «EL gran varón Simón» , se escuchaba a todo dar en «Pop», Limón Viejo del Viejo San Juan en Muelle 4, y «el que no quiere un caldo Papá Dios le envía tres trazas».

Por consiguiente, entrando de lleno al tema de las cirugías, las mismas se realizarse a las personas transgéneros para reasignar el sexo de preferencia. En el hombre el procedimiento quirúrgico modifica los genitales y luego se reconstruye para que su apariencia sea como el de una vagina. En el caso de la mujer, seria a la inversa, para que su vagina, después de la cirugía tenga el parecido al de un pene.

Este proceso quirúrgico tiene  varios nombres, entre ellos se les conoce como: reasignación sexual («CRS»), cirugía de reasignación de género, cirugía de reconstrucción genital y cirugía de reasignación genital. Los médicos también tienen sus propios términos tales como: “genitoplastia feminizante” o “penectomía”, «orquiectomía» y «vaginoplastia», que en la «esfera  clínica» se utilizan para las mujeres transgénero y para  los hombres transgénero se emplea “genitoplastia masculinizante”, “metoidioplastia” o “faloplastia»

Entonces me quedo decir que: «Nos encontramos en una próxima entrega y me cuentan si alguien tiene planes de hacerse la operación. No serás el primero pero tampoco el último en esta realidad del siglo XXI, y porque.. «con un dedo no se puede tapar el sol».
