THE MAGIC OF A “MAGICAL ORGASM” Cuban Novel

Debo admitir, que cuando me solicitaron leer esta novela, para conocer mi punto de vista en cuanto al lenguaje explícito que podría tener, me dio algo de susto, su título dejaba muy claro la temática y muy poco a la imaginación. 

I must admit, that when they asked me to read this novel, to know my point of view regarding the explicit language that it could have, it gave me some fright, its title made the subject very clear and very little to the imagination.

Es más, pensaba en voz baja, ¿que tendrá en mente el autor de este libro, al abordar el orgasmo sin usar un vocablo subido de tono?… Sin embargo, no sé si por compromiso o curiosidad, tomé la responsabilidad de leer la novela, con el objetivo de poder dar un criterio lo más acertado posible.

Lo primero que me llamó la atención es que dice estar inspirado en hechos reales, pero lo que más me intrigó y me aceleró el deseo de empezar a leerla, fue cuando al inicio del libro el autor (de quien más adelante les hablaré), nombra las siguientes palabras o términos en las etiquetas:

¿Qué relación podría llegar a tener el Orgasmo Femenino con temas de superación personal, la mente y la autoayuda? Era muy confuso para mí asociar un tema tan justiciable, controvertido y polémico, como es el coito femenino con uno más bonito, delicado, elogiado y admirado, como lo es la superación personal y el poder de la mente.

Más llevada por la intriga, la duda y el misterio, que, por otra cosa, empecé a consumir el libro, y aclaro que utilizo el término de consumo porque fue lo que literalmente me pasó; sentí que devoré el libro, en un abrir y cerrar de ojos, y es que su forma descriptiva, lenguaje sencillo, lo detalles de las situaciones, lugares y personajes hacen al lector no solo engancharse, sino que le genera la necesidad de saber más y más a cerca de lo allí narrado.

La habilidad de tener al lector atento a cada suceso, la forma como presentan a los protagonistas, el lenguaje sencillo, claro, directo y muy limpio, que emplearon en los diálogos hacen muy placentero y fácil la lectura, logrando sumergir al lector en la historia donde a través de lo descrito, les coloca a volar la imaginación y visualizar los hechos como si se estuviera viendo en un cortometraje. Pero, ¿quién es la persona que está detrás de toda esta historia? ¿Qué tanto de periodista, escritor e investigador tiene? y, ¿por qué?, logra mezclar el tema del orgasmo con el de superación personal…

The ability to keep the reader attentive to each event, the way they present the protagonists, the simple, clear, direct and very clean language that they used in the dialogues make reading very pleasant and easy, ,managing to immerse the reader in the story where through what is described, makes them fly their imagination and visualize the facts as if they were watching in a short film. But who is the person behind this whole story? How much of a journalist, writer and researcher are you? And why? He manages to mix the theme of orgasm with that of self-improvement …

Se trata de JORGE PARETA, escritor Cubano, Ingeniero en Telecomunicaciones, Especialista en Informática y Gestión de la Calidad, Diseñador Gráfico y Publicista. Es miembro de la Sociedad Cubana Multidisciplinaria de Estudios de la Sexualidad (SOCUMES), Asociación Cubana de Comunicadores Sociales (ACCS), y Sociedad de Información Científico Técnica (SOCICT). Desde muy joven, se interesó en el uso del poder de la mente para mejorar la relación de pareja y la salud, precisamente en ese descubrir se dio a la tarea de escribir varias obras con el propósito de “enseñar a cuidar el amor y la salud”.

Conociendo un poco su recorrido y aficiones, se empieza a comprender el manejo de la temática de la novela, que gira en torno a las situaciones sexuales que vive Eva, una adolescente cubana de 14 años, y su incansable búsqueda de un orgasmo, lo que la lleva a vivir diferentes hechos que, durante los años venideros, la hacen cometer un sin número de errores. Sin embargo, no pierde la visión de su empoderamiento femenino. La mezcla de sucesos y personajes que va tomando forma y vida durante la historia, nos transporta de manera pintoresca y dramática a La Habana de la segunda década del siglo XXI y a la ciudad de Turín en Italia en momentos en que era el epicentro de la pandemia de la Covid-19 en Europa.

Knowing a little about his career and hobbies, you begin to understand the handling of the theme of the novel, that revolves around the sexual situations that Eva lives, a 14-year-old Cuban teenager, and her tireless pursuit of an orgasm, which leads her to experience different events that, for years to come, make her commit countless mistakes. However, he does not lose sight of his female empowerment. The mixture of events and characters that takes shape and life during the story, it takes us in a picturesque and dramatic way to Havana in the second decade of the 21st century and to the city of Turin in Italy at a time when it was the epicenter of the Covid-19 pandemic in Europe.

Hasta allí, se podría decir que la novela “ORGASMO MÁGICO” no pasa de ser una novela con un título atractivo y marketinero que desde un punto de vista menos riguroso y analítico puede resultar ser un gancho para captar lectores.

Sin embargo, tal y como lo planteé al principio de este escrito, el autor logra dibujar al orgasmo con una sutileza, delicadeza y asombrosa sencillez. Emplea tips y pasos todos relacionados con el concepto de superación, motivación y amor propio. Por eso, no es raro ver que la historia viene concatenada con el acto sexual, buscando al verdadero amor, en las diferentes etapas de la vida, bajo distintas circunstancias y matices, la presencia del embarazo no deseado en la adolescencia y los traumas asociados.

La novela transcurre en medio de manifestaciones de machismo junto a la violencia de género, la prostitución, el proxenetismo y la delincuencia. De pronto sorprende al lector y lo hace reflexionar acerca del controvertido asunto de la creación de una familia en un ambiente de homosexualismo.

Todo se presenta desde una óptica educativa, de manera sutil, a fin de lograr que el lector vaya reflexionando acerca de la necesidad de esforzarse por aprender y por fin logre descubrir, junto a Eva, «el más importante de los secretos del sexo y la vida».
