COLOMBIA: THE RIKARENA by LUIS ALBARRACIN

Hace algunos años atraído por el nombre de «Rikarena», que es tan romántico, como musical, visite en familia el Restaurante llamado así como: Rikarena, ubicado en Salgar Puerto Colombia. Allí salió a atenderme un señor que para entonces tendría unos 80 años de edad. Para mis adentros me preguntaba, donde lo había visto antes, si es que me conocía, porque la amabilidad era tan demostrativa que me sorprendía y me dejaba en una tremenda curiosidad, porque ya creía que me conocía desde Cartagena y yo, no me acordaba de este gran señor.

Fuimos recibidos con todos los protocolos de una abuena atención, minutos después llego a nuestra mesa el MENU, que contenía todas las riquezas del mar, que, al probarlas, conjugaban las sabrosuras del CARIBE colombiano, que son muy diferentes al sentido que hoy se les da al termino, sabrosura. Al rato, veo, que la misma atención se repetía una y otra vez a cuantas personas llegaban al restaurante, que entre otras cosas, no solo eran colombianos, sino extranjeros, entre americanos, españoles, italianos, en fin. Estas escenas me inspiraron confianza, como para volver a regresar. Desde entonces, ese ha sido mi restaurante favorito para llegar a ese bello paraje turístico de Puerto Colombia, con el nombre del amplio sector de playas titulado como SALGAR, que es un verbo que su modo indicativo esta compuesto de tiempos simples, pero ahí la comida y el ambiente tiene mucho sabor.

After a while, I see, that the same attention was repeated over and over again to all the people who came to the restaurant, who, among other things, were not only Colombians, but also foreigners, including Americans, Spaniards, Italians, anyway. These scenes gave me the confidence to come back. Since then, this has been my favorite restaurant to get to that beautiful tourist area of ​​Puerto Colombia, with the name of the wide sector of beaches titled as SALGAR, which is a verb that its indicative mode is composed of simple tenses, but there the food and the atmosphere has a lot of flavor.

Han pasado varios años, y hoy Don Luis Albarracín con algo cercano a los 87 años, torea los obstáculos naturales de la cotidianidad, y los transforma en positivos y los festeja con humildad. Los resuelve y les da buena forma, como el mejor orfebre que le da valor e importancia, a lo que quizá para otros, sería algo para ignorar. Don Luis es un artista que para las dificultades pareciera un gran torero, maestro de la tauromaquia, pues esquiva lo negativo, y lo convierte en positivo. Le da chicuelinas a los problemas y los deja pasar sin que lo afecten.. Han pasado varios años de haberlo conocido y no ha cambiado en su estado físico para nada, y su optimismo menos. Su estilo y su rosto sigue amable, y en pie para seguir luchando por mantener su ARENA ENTRE FRESCA Y CALIENTE, PARA QUE SE SIENTA RICA.

He solves them and gives them a good shape, like the best goldsmith who gives value and importance, to what perhaps for others, would be something to ignore. Don Luis is an artist who, when faced with difficulties, seems like a great bullfighter, a master of bullfighting, because he dodges the negative, and turns it into a positive. He gives chicuelinas to problems and lets them pass without affecting him. Several years have passed since I knew him and his physical condition hasn’t changed at all, let alone his optimism. Her style and face are still friendly, and she’s on her feet to continue fighting to keep her SAND BETWEEN FRESH AND WARM, SO THAT YOU FEEL GOOD.

Hace pocos dias, cuando regrese de un viaje del exterior me acerque en familia a saludarlo, y allí salió, como siempre, bien vestido a recibirme, como lo hace con todo el mundo. Hoy día, más en confianza, y aprovechando su fluida conversación, sin que se diera cuenta le hice una entrevista. Yo le preguntaba: Don Luis, usted porque nunca se vinculó al periodismo, a la dirección de un programa de noticias, ¿o para ser un presentador de la TV colombiana? Entonces me respondió: «Me gusta leer y estoy actualizado, pero para eso se necesitan otras condiciones, y creo que no las tenga, pese a que para todo lo bueno, siempre estoy dispuesto«. Entonces le dije: usted tiene lo mas importante, el TONO DE SU VOZ, TIMBRADA, GRAVE, CON EXCELENTE DICCION, Y FACILIDAD DE EXPRESION. Entonces me respondió, mi publico es este, y el calor de mi voz que usted dice que tengo, lo pongo al servicio de la atención al cliente, para que se sienta bien atendido. Fui deportista, pero siempre mi vocación fue atender al público, servirle a la gente.

A few days ago, when I returned from a trip abroad, I went as a family to say hello, and there he came out, as always, well dressed to receive me, as he does with everyone. Then he replied, this is my audience, and the warmth of my voice that you say I have, I put at the service of customer service, so that they feel well cared for. I was an athlete, but my vocation was always serving the public, serving people.

Acto seguido le pregunte… ¿Qué opina usted de la crisis que vive Colombia? Entonces me respondió: Las crisis siempre son buenas, son nuestras competencias invisibles, que nos enseñan y nos obligan a superarnos, para que aprendamos, que todo en la vida se gana luchando, trabajando duro, en constancia. Los conformistas no llegan a ninguna parte. Yo creo en Colombia, este es un país especial, y ya vera que todo mejorara. Recuerde mi apreciado amigo, que cuando nos conocimos le dije que Puerto Colombia Atlántico con su capital Barranquilla, era una mina turística. Y ahí lo tiene, mire todo lo bueno que han hecho. – Y ¿cómo ve Don Luis, la situación política del país apreciado don Luis? A mi pregúnteme por todo lo que trate de buen GOURMET, esa es mi especialidad. Lo único que le puedo decir, es que, si hacemos las cosas bien, con equidad a todos nos va bien. Y eso es lo que se desea.

Hoy he dedicado esta nota editorial a este luchador, que hace patria desde una perspectiva diferente. Él, don Luis, siempre ha sembrado la cordialidad, el buen entendimiento. Don Luis es un hombre de carácter, vertical, honesto e implacable con todo lo que este fuera de lo legal, que lo rechaza con valentía. Tiene más de 40 años de vivir en Barranquilla, y jamás ha dejado de pagar impuestos. Su manera de ser en materia del orden, lo asimila a un bibliotecario, porque está enterado de lo mínimo, y guarda todo hasta lo máximo y lo más curioso es que para recurrir a una información, solo necesita extender la mano, no requiere la luz, porque todo esta en su lugar. Me dice con orgullo: Vivo al día, a paz y salvo con el estado, y en especial con DIOS. Bueno le hago esta última pregunta, me dice, que pocas veces ha tomado vacaciones, porque su trabajo le otorga un placer tan grande, que esas son sus vacaciones.

His way of being in matters of order, assimilates him to a librarian, because he is aware of the minimum, and keeps everything to the maximum and the most curious thing is that to resort to information, he only needs to extend his hand, he does not require light because everything is in its place. He proudly tells me: I live up to date, at peace and safe with the state, and especially with GOD. Well, I ask him this last question, he tells me that he has rarely taken vacations, because his work gives him such great pleasure, that those are his vacations.

¿Dejando a un lado esa interesante filosofía, que toca al estoicismo, en realidad no piensa vacacionar? me contestó «Le confieso apreciado amigo, que he estado pensando en hacer un viajecito por Miami, para ver a mis hijos, y luego irme a Europa, visitar a España, Francia, para alimentarme de las experiencias y traerlas a mi regreso a mi RICA ARENA para brindárselas al público colombiano y extranjeros». Concluyo que Don Luis, a pesar de su edad, 87 años sigue con fuerza, no se vence, y no existe para el la vejez, cuando la mente es joven. Sin duda es un ejemplo para las juventudes, sobre todo para aquellos que dicen no hay en que trabajar. Conocer la historia de don Luis, es un tábano, para los flojos y una vergüenza para los que teniéndolo todo, lo desperdician.

Si leemos varios proverbios de la Biblia, en esta materia, podríamos decir, que Don Luis, al cumplir lo enseñado en los 46 proverbios que tratan sobre el dinero, los otros 45 que tratan de las bendiciones del dinero, y si le agregamos la PARABOLA DE LOS TALENTOS, Mateo: 25: 14: 30. No otra conclusión se puede llegar que siempre que uno se guie por la via de la sabiduría de Dios, llega bien.
