Let me tell you a story: Claudia the whale

Un mundo oculto a la vista entre el azul profundo del mar existe un gran paraíso desconocido en realidad, ondulantes corrientes marinas que vienen de aquí para allá, es una vista hermosa observar el amplio mar. Entre ellas se ve venir un banco enorme de sardinas chismosas que vienen feliz, Claudia la ballena su misión de vida es la noticia que nos traen aquí.

A world hidden from view, amidst the deep blue of the sea, lies a vast, unknown paradise. Rippling ocean currents rush from here to there. It’s a beautiful sight to watch the vast sea. Among them, a huge school of gossiping sardines can be seen approaching happily. Claudia the whale, her life’s mission is to bring us news.

Una preciosa ballena de enorme tamaño emerge desde las profundidades para darse unos pequeños baños de sol, es azulosa, brillante sobresale, emitiendo su canto marino, entre silbidos de advertencia y silbidos solitarios, con sus ondas sonoras que rebotan en el mar ayuda a muchos peces al advertir de depredadores que anden por allí.

A beautiful whale of enormous size emerges from the depths to take a few sunbaths. Its blue, bright color stands out, emitting its sea song, between warning whistles and solitary whistles. With its sound waves that bounce off the sea, it helps many fish by warning them of predators that are around.

Pero la ballena Claudia no es feliz, navega solitaria buscando a su raíz, todos tenían familia y ella no la recordaba, sola estaba allí, solo veía pasar corrientes marinas con tortugas que iban al norte para emigrar y tomaba muchos largos descansos pues no tenía muchos amigos con quien platicar.

But Claudia the whale is not happy, she sails alone searching for her roots, everyone had family and she did not remember them, she was alone there, she only saw ocean currents pass by with turtles that went north to migrate and she took many long breaks because she did not have many friends to talk to.

Solo se la pasaba recogiendo cosas brillantes en sus aletas y después las dejaba muy cerca del arrecife con algas de color rojo y verde que a ella gustaba.

She spent her time collecting shiny objects in her fins and then leaving them very close to the reef with its red and green algae, which she liked.

Pero un día mientras gozaba de una de sus grandes descansos de sueño. Sintió muy cerquitas de sus oídos una pequeñísima vocecita que le inquietaba, espero un instante al abrir los ojos y aun adormilada, vio con gran asombro frente a ella una pequeña pececita de color naranja con rayas azules y mirada de esperanza, acompañada de un caballito de mar que era el que en el oído le hablaba y le causaba cierto cuquillero

But one day, while she was enjoying one of her long sleepless nights, she heard a tiny voice very close to her ears that was worrying her. She waited a moment before opening her eyes, and while still drowsy, she saw, with great astonishment, a small orange fish with blue stripes and a hopeful look in front of her, accompanied by a seahorse that was speaking in her ear and causing her a certain curiosity.

La pececita se presentó ¡Hola preciosa ballena claudia! yo me llamo Titita y mi amigo se llama Shazam venimos de muy lejos de las corrientes del sur a ver si nos puedes ayudar. Anda mi niña despierta ya – ¡es muy urgente!  A claudia la ballena mucho le intrigo y les dijo con mucha precisión. ¿en qué les puedo ayudar?

Titina le dijo tendremos tiempo en el camino para explicar, es solo tomar la decisión de acompañarnos y tu misma lo veras, continúo hablando Titina, muy feliz sonrió- ¡Vamos hermosa! vamos ya a trabajar, estarás muy feliz de lo que vayas a allá a encontrar, la ballena Claudia ya no se resistió, bajo su aleta derecha y así a sus dos nuevos amigos subió a su espalda cerca de su orificio donde atrojaba su agua a un ladito de su lomo. ¡Agüitas saltarinas!

Aquella gran ballena se deslizó y gran movimiento en ese bello espacio marino se sintió. – ¡Wahoo! – ¡Era realmente impresionante!

That great whale glided by, and great movement was felt in that beautiful marine space. «Wahoo!» It was truly impressive!

Ahora si ¿Que rumbo tomamos? nuestra ballena pregunto, da vuelta en la casa de las mantarrayas, allí en el barco hundido

Y a sus ordenes con la aleta izquierda la vuelta dio. – ¡Alla es! – ahí donde miras ese conjunto de piedras es nuestro hogar que debes conocer. Tu misma te darás cuenta de nuestro problema al llegar, entonces viro su aleta derecha y entonces descubrió un lugar tan hermoso como jamás se imagino ¡Agüitas saltarinas! Entre aquellas piedras grandes en realidad se ocultaba un precioso paraíso que ella inmediatamente noto.

And at her command, she turned around with her left flipper. «There it is!» «Right where you’re looking, that group of stones is our home, which you must discover. You’ll realize our problem when you arrive.» Then she turned her right flipper and discovered a place as beautiful as she could have ever imagined. Jumping waters! Hidden among those large stones was a beautiful paradise, which she immediately noticed.

¡WoW! Estaba repleto de peces de múltiples colores, moluscos de diferentes tamaños, era un pequeño arrecife que estaba tan lleno que todos peleaban por un espacio, entre los moluscos y cangrejos, el pez gato y el pez ratón se veían refunfullantes en acción, entre la familia de los caballitos de mar, luego de camarones y pez espada ya no podían más, eran tantos y tantos que ya no cabían en realidad mientras el gobernador don cangrejo solo se la pasa en llorar y llorar junto a unas hermosas conchas del mar que estaban muy pegaditas a unas conchitas chiquitas, junto a una pequeña familia de caracoles que ya no tenían por donde nadar.

Wow! It was full of multi-colored fish, mollusks of different sizes, it was a small reef that was so full that they were all fighting for space, among the mollusks and crabs, the catfish and the mousefish were seen grumbling in action, among the seahorse family, then the shrimp and swordfish they couldn’t take it anymore, there were so many that they couldn’t really fit anymore while Governor Mr. Crab just spent his time crying and crying next to some beautiful seashells that were very close to some tiny shells, next to a small family of snails that no longer had anywhere to swim.

Entonces comprendido que les urgía un espacio mucho más grande, entonces Titina le comento a su amiga ¡vez el gran problema! Todos quieren vivir juntos, pero ya no es posible porque todos invaden el espacio personal, un pulpo junto con un cangrejo se quisieron volver apelar. Claudia hizo muy grande su voz y en frente de ellos les comento, ¡paren ya! Y enfrente de ellos hablo, no es bueno pelear, todo comienza por tener un espacio para conversar y entre sus grandes ondas sonoras a todos con gentileza fue a calmar.

Then, realizing that they urgently needed a much larger space, Titina told her friend, «See the big problem!» They all want to live together, but it’s no longer possible because everyone is invading their personal space. An octopus and a crab wanted to turn and argue. Claudia made her voice very loud and said in front of them, «Stop it!» And in front of them, she spoke. It’s not good to fight, it all starts with having a space to talk, and with her loud sound waves, she gently calmed everyone down.

¡Recontrachispas! ¡pongan atención! Aquí va mi propuesta escuchen por favor. Abriré mi boca muy grande vengan conmigo los que quieran emigrar, yo conozco un gran sitio donde es grande y hay mucho lugar para todos con medida y con respeto para los demás existe tan solo una -¡Gran regla  de oro que se tiene que cumplir!- dígame si están de acuerdo y yo los llevare feliz, esta regla se llama “El respeto por los demás” y a mi amiga Titina y a Shazam todo el mundo marino las gracias le tienen que dar, al escuchar esto el cangrejo gobernador dejo de llorar y grito yo soy el primero con gusto iremos a emigrar.

Y claudia abrió la boca y todos los peses se fueron a emigrar a otra parte del profundo mar, allá donde los arrecifes de color naranja cerca de las conchas brillantes donde todo es tranquilidad, los dejo libres por fin y se dice que ya nunca se les veía pelear al contario todos se cuidaban en familia en las profundidades del mar.

And Claudia opened her mouth and all the fish went to migrate to another part of the deep sea, there where the orange reefs near the bright shells where everything is tranquil, finally set them free and it is said that they were never seen fighting on the contrary, they all took care of each other as a family in the depths of the sea.

Por cierto, Claudia la ballena encontró por fin dos cosas que buscaba: Una bella gran familia que cuidar y dejaría por fin a su amiga la soledad. Y se dio cuenta también de la extraordinaria misión que tenía que ser, el de ayudar a los demás.

By the way, Claudia the whale finally found two things she was looking for: a beautiful, big family to care for, and she would finally leave her friend alone. And she also realized what an extraordinary mission she had to fulfill: to help others.

Ahora se les ve paseando en lo bello del mar a la ballena Claudia y a sus diminutos amigos, disfrutando del paraíso marino que esta oculto en las profundidades de la mar.

Now, Claudia the whale and her tiny friends can be seen strolling in the beauty of the sea, enjoying the marine paradise hidden in the depths of the ocean.
