Art & Youth Fest 2026

Este evento es el buque insignia de la Plataforma Cultural Internacional ArtYouthFest con sede en Madrid, que confirma su primera edición en la que reúne a doscientos cincuenta jóvenes artistas, músicos, bailarines y cantantes de más de once países. Una Plataforma que construye alianzas con instituciones líderes en cultura y educación artística a nivel internacional.

This event is the flagship initiative of the Madrid-based international cultural platform ArtYouthFest; its inaugural edition brings together 250 young artists, musicians, dancers, and singers from more than eleven countries. The platform builds alliances with leading international institutions in the fields of culture and arts education.

Son jóvenes embajadores del Patrimonio Cultural Inmaterial Mundial. Así fueron presentados el 21 de julio 2026 en el Auditorio Centro Centro del Ayuntamiento de Madrid, ocho grupos de niños y jóvenes artistas, en representación de Rumanía, Ucrania, Polonia, Guinea Ecuatorial, China, Ecuador, Argentina y España, cada uno de ellos con una danza y traje regional elegidos Patrimonio Cultural Inmaterial de la Humanidad por la UNESCO.

They are young ambassadors of World Intangible Cultural Heritage. That is how eight groups of young artists—representing Romania, Ukraine, Poland, Equatorial Guinea, China, Ecuador, Argentina, and Spain—were introduced on July 21, 2026, at the CentroCentro Auditorium in Madrid City Hall; each group showcased a regional dance and costume recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

Son hijos de familias originarias de estos países residentes en España, pertenecientes a asociaciones artísticas afincadas tanto en la Comunidad de Madrid, como en otras regiones españolas.

They are the children of families from these countries who reside in Spain and belong to artistic associations based in the Community of Madrid and other Spanish regions.

Como era de rigor, hubo amplia representación institucional, en las personas de Doña Pilar Jurado, conocida soprano, compositora y defensora del Patrimonio Inmaterial, especialmente como embajadora de la Zarzuela, que ha propuesto en varias ocasiones a la UNESCO. Cantó una conocida aria como introducción; D. Héctor Coronel, Director General de Turismo del Ayuntamiento de Madrid; Doña María Jesús Pino, coordinadora nacional de Escuelas Asociadas de la UNESCO; D. Borja Fanjul, presidente del pleno de Concejales; directores de los grupos de danzantes, fundaciones e instituciones culturales, etc.

As was customary, there was broad institutional representation, including Ms. Pilar Jurado—a renowned soprano, composer, and advocate for Intangible Cultural Heritage (particularly as an ambassador for *Zarzuela*, a genre she has repeatedly proposed for UNESCO recognition), who sang a well-known aria as an opening; Mr. Héctor Coronel, Director General of Tourism for the Madrid City Council; Ms. María Jesús Pino, National Coordinator of UNESCO Associated Schools; Mr. Borja Fanjul, President of the City Council Plenary; and directors of dance troupes, foundations, and cultural institutions, among others.

La parte emocionante de este gran espectáculo fue la demostración de la hermandad de pueblos diversos unidos en el arte. La acogida tradicional en España a la diversidad humana, la armonía entre todos ellos, el arte como nexo de unión universal. Aquí no tienen cabida los conflictos creados artificialmente. Aquí están unidas razas y colores en perfecta síntesis de una única raza: la raza humana. Y por qué no, el arte como vehículo de comprensión entre los pueblos. Como axioma universal.

The thrilling aspect of this magnificent spectacle was the demonstration of fellowship among diverse peoples united through art—Spain’s traditional embrace of human diversity, the harmony among them all, and art serving as a universal bond. There is no room here for artificially created conflicts; here, races and colors are united in the perfect synthesis of a single race: the human race. And—why not?—art as a vehicle for understanding between peoples. As a universal axiom.
