Esto no va de banderas, ni de comprar islas como quien adquiere un souvenir. Va de influencia efectiva, de impedir enclaves hostiles a horas del territorio continental. Groenlandia no es una colonia soñada: es infraestructura estratégica.

This is not about flags, nor about buying islands like acquiring a souvenir. It is about effective influence, about preventing hostile enclaves hours away from the continental territory. Greenland is not a dreamed colony: it is strategic infrastructure.

Groenlandia no pertenece a Estados Unidos por historia, pero el mundo que viene se organiza por control, acceso, vigilancia y disuasión. El hielo no es neutral. El silencio tampoco.

Greenland does not belong to the United States by history, but the coming world is organized by control, access, surveillance, and deterrence. Ice is not neutral. Silence is not either.

Antes pensaba que en el mapa escolar, Rusia quedaba lejos de Groenlandia y ahora miro los mapas del Ártico y he notado que son vecinos y se miran con recelo y acecho. Y en ese idioma áspero —el único que entiende el poder— Groenlandia no es un paisaje: es una necesidad.

Before, I thought that on the school map, Russia was far from Greenland, and now I look at the Arctic maps and I have noticed that they are neighbors and look at each other with suspicion and lurking. And in that harsh language—the only one that power understands—Greenland is not a landscape: it is a necessity.
