En la vieja casona de Doña Josefina, vive ella muy feliz con su gran gato café llamado Morito y con su gato que le dice El peluche – je, je, je – todo manchadito de blanco y amarillo, ambos garos muy bien tratados y esponjositos. Se pasean por toda la gran casona, como en un gran palacio, guardianes sin igual, que ningún ratoncillo se atrevía la nariz asomar, porque estos gatunos usaran su gran agilidad y después de corretearlos de aquí para allá, los atraparían y de entre los dientes pendientes de la misma cola, de seguro a Doña Josefina se los llevarían a enseñar para poco después comérselos.

Dijo el Morito, ¿a mí por qué? Solo me dormí un poco, eso sí lo sé, dijo Doña Josefina, pero le aras compañía a tu amigo El peluche ¡mira su garrita! Que mal lucia. Entonces se fueron los 3 alejándose de la gran casona por un buen rato esta vez.

Mientras que por un pequeño agujero que se encontraba en la pared, se noto una gran reunión esta vez, muchos ratones de aquí para allá, con cazuelas de comida que a muchos convidar, con sus trajes de fiesta listos para guarachear, otro ratoncillo saco la guitarra y se puso a tocar mientras que Doña ratona la grande se puso feliz a cantar, acompañada de todo un gran mariachi de puros ratones que si sabían tocar, todos los ratones se pusieron a bailar muy felices, se pasaron las horas,  aquella gran fiesta de ratones se acabo y cuando se estaban despidiendo llego Doña Josefina con sus dos gatos y todo volvió a la normalidad.
