Yo soy Julián, hermano de Marianita, la linda muñequita de mamá y papá. También la quiero muchísimo, es muy especial. A veces vamos los dos a la escuela donde enseña mamá.

I am Julián, brother of Marianita, mom and dad’s cute little doll. I also love her very much, she is very special. Sometimes we both go to the school where mom teaches.

Marianita es más grande que yo, se sienta en una banca ella solita, por su condición a veces pone atención y otras no, pero tiene una sonrisa tan linda y especial, disfruta de cosas diferentes a las de los demás, su espacio, su orden, y no le gusta que la toquen porque se pone nerviosita y comienza a gritar -uuuf-. Tiene otra forma de expresión, es diferente a los demás. Llega entonces la maestra Katy y con una pequeña campanita le habla: «Ven, sígueme, Marianita», y ella la sigue sin chispear.

Marianita is bigger than me, she sits on a bench by herself, because of her condition, sometimes she pays attention and other times she doesn’t, but she has such a beautiful and special smile, she enjoys different things from others, her space, her order. , and she doesn’t like being touched because she gets nervous and starts screaming -uuuf-. It has another way of expression, it is different from the others. Then the teacher Katy arrives and with a small bell speaks to her: «Come, follow me, Marianita», and she follows her without sparking.

Después de un ratito, volvió la maestra Katy y nos comentó que teníamos mucho que aprender de una palabra muy especial y que debíamos darle mucho respeto: AUTISMO. Nos dijo que todos somos especiales y que nos debemos respetar.

After a little while, teacher Katy returned and told us that we had a lot to learn about a very special word and that we should give it a lot of respect: AUTISM. He told us that we are all special and that we should respect each other.

Yo la quiero mucho, – je, je, je – aunque a veces me llama al revés, y me grita de repente. Jugamos mucho en el piso y ella salta muy alto. Es muy buena para correr. El otro día, con una sonrisa, me dijo que la siguiera al otro salón. Aprendí un poco del mundo como ella lo siente y vive. Ella iba muy feliz adelante y, junto a sus amigos, se sentó, con su gran sonrisa en su propio espacio. Entonces llegó su maestra Katy, nos mostró un gran dibujo, era un paisaje de noche.

I love her very much, – heh, heh, heh – although sometimes she calls me the other way around, and she yells at me suddenly. We play on the floor a lot and she jumps very high. It is very good for running. The other day, with a smile, she told me to follow her to the other room. I learned a little about the world as she feels and lives it. She was very happy ahead and, along with her friends, sat down, with her big smile in her own space. Then his teacher Katy arrived, she showed us a great drawing, it was a landscape at night.

¡Solo estaba la luna! Y en el piso volteé figuras geométricas para todos. ¡Qué emoción! Una que otra figura de hule, je, je, je, je, que se coló. La maestra Katy dijo: «La luna está sola, díganme qué le quieren colgar» y sacó un balde con muchas figuras: cubos con puntos negros y blancos, otros círculos, triángulos y solo una estrella verde que había de más. Je, je, je.

There was only the moon! And on the floor I turned over geometric figures for everyone. What a thrill! One or another rubber figure, heh, heh, heh, heh, that snuck in. Teacher Katy said: «The moon is alone, tell me what you want to hang on it» and she took out a bucket with many figures: cubes with black and white dots, other circles, triangles and just one green star that was extra. Hahaha.

Uno a uno fueron pasando las figuras para colgar. Yo coloqué unos círculos cerca de la luna, y otros triángulos, cubos y demás. Marianita levantó la mano, y todos se quedaron quietos, dejándole un espacio para que ella pudiera pasar. Entre sus manos llevaba su estrella verde, muy verde, y al lado de la luna la colocó. Aquel paraje nocturno lució de una manera hermosa. Y ella sonreía tan linda y bella, ¡como nunca la he visto jamás!

One by one the figures were passed around to hang. I placed some circles near the moon, and other triangles, cubes and so on. Marianita raised her hand, and everyone stood still, leaving a space for her to pass. In his hands he carried his green star, very green, and placed it next to the moon. That night spot looked beautiful. And she smiled so cute and beautiful, like I have never seen her before!

Desde entonces, la quiero más, porque ella me enseñó un poco de su mundo, y cuando ella ya duerme, me asomo a la ventana y veo con asombro que todas las estrellas son diferentes.

Since then, I love her more, because she taught me a little about her world, and when she is asleep, I look out the window and see with amazement that all the stars are different.

Pero la más bonita de todas es esa estrella verde que mi hermanita Marianita le prestó a la luna, para que entendiera que no todas brillan tanto. La estrella verde de Marianita es muy particular, llena de amor y cariño para todos en general.
