THE THINKER: SOMETHING IS STILL DARK

La cuestión que sigue la planteé hace ya varios meses. Hubo repercusiones, por supuesto, no necesariamente coincidentes. Pero como la hipotética cuestión, a mi juicio preocupante, sigue en la oscuridad informativa para la mayoría del público, decidí repetir mi columna anterior, entre otros argumentos porque todo sigue como estaba entonces.

I raised the following question several months ago. There were repercussions, of course, not necessarily coincidental. But since the hypothetical issue, in my opinion worrying, remains in the information darkness for the majority of the public, I decided to repeat my previous column, among other arguments because everything remains as it was then.

He recibido de varias fuentes, con los matices comprensibles, una información que me ha preocupado mucho y que, con los reparos del caso, quiero compartir con los lectores.

I have received from various sources, with understandable nuances, information that has greatly concerned me and that, with the qualms of the case, I want to share with readers.

Primero: confío en las fuentes referidas, a las que obviamente no identificaré y he contrastado entre ellas lo que me ha sido dicho por cada una. Segundo: no obstante este procedimiento, del todo profesional y responsable, considero necesario plantear la cuestión desde el punto de vista hipotético.

First: I trust the sources referred to, which I obviously will not identify, and I have contrasted between them what has been told to me by each one. Second: despite this procedure, completely professional and responsible, I consider it necessary to raise the question from a hypothetical point of view.

La información aludida converge, expresada en detalles y desde enfoques diferentes, en una presunción: muchos de los casos, especialmente de niños y de personas mayores, adjudicados hoy por el Ministerio de Salud Pública a una suerte de epidemia de gripe y/o de infección bronquial, serían originados por un rebrote del corona virus o covid. En paralelo, esa información sugiere que las autoridades son conscientes de esto y están preocupadas también por cómo algunos CTI llegan al límite de su capacidad.

The aforementioned information converges, expressed in details and from different approaches, in a presumption: many of the cases, especially children and elderly people, attributed today by the Ministry of Public Health to a kind of flu epidemic and/or infection bronchial, would be caused by a resurgence of the corona virus or covid. In parallel, this information suggests that the authorities are aware of this and are also concerned about how some CTIs reach the limit of their capacity.

¿Puede ocurrir esto? Sí, claro, eso no puede discutirse. ¿Sería inquietante? Por supuesto. ¿Entonces?

Can this happen? Yes, of course, that cannot be discussed. Would it be disturbing? Of course. So?

Mi posición es clara: creo que la simple expansión entre la ciudadanía de esta hipótesis, más aún, incluso, si fuese confirmada, debería haber obligado al Ministerio de Salud Pública, o directamente al vocero principal del Poder Ejecutivo a dirigirse a la opinión pública. Ya no hay GACH al cual recurrir. Y por otro lado, ¿en qué quedó la iniciativa, nunca ratificada oficialmente, que creo partió del entonces ministro Salinas, de llevar la vacunación contra la pandemia sufrida -y que por aquí, me parece que irresponsablemente, se califica superada y sólo se mantienen en pie controles menores- a un ritmo anual, en particular para poblaciones de riesgo?; yo, por ejemplo, que porto en mi organismo hasta la quinta dosis de Pfeizer programada por Salud Pública, caigo en ese sector y estaría en fecha para recibir la próxima dosis: sin embargo, no tengo datos de que se esté vacunando contra el corona virus y nadie, del ámbito oficial, ha hecho mención alguna a esa propuesta.

My position is clear: I believe that the simple expansion of this hypothesis among citizens, moreover, even if it were confirmed, should have forced the Ministry of Public Health, or directly the main spokesperson of the Executive Branch, to address public opinion. There is no longer GACH to turn to. And on the other hand, what happened to the initiative, never officially ratified, which I believe came from the then Minister Salinas, to carry out vaccination against the pandemic suffered – and which here, it seems to me irresponsibly, is classified as outdated and only remains in place minor controls – at an annual rate, particularly for at-risk populations?; For example, I carry in my body up to the fifth dose of Pfeizer scheduled by Public Health, I fall into that sector and would be on time to receive the next dose: however, I have no data that people are being vaccinated against the corona virus and no one from the official sphere has made any mention of that proposal.

No deseo extenderme porque no percibo haber perpetrado irresponsabilidad alguna y me parece que todos los lectores han entendido. Sí siento una angustia que no necesito vivir, como tampoco lo merece el resto de la población de esta abnegada sociedad, y que podría disolverse –incluso, y lo aceptaré porque soy un libre pensador crítico con la ética del postulado sobre la idea de dogma, si debo aceptar que mi hipótesis se cae a pedazos ante pruebas objetivas- con rápidas, breves y muy precisas expresiones de quienes corresponda.

I do not wish to expand on this because I do not perceive that I have committed any irresponsibility and it seems to me that all readers have understood. I do feel an anguish that I do not need to experience, nor does the rest of the population of this selfless society deserve, and that could even be dissolved, and I will accept it because I am a free thinker critical of the ethics of the postulate on the idea of ​​dogma, If I must accept that my hypothesis falls apart in the face of objective evidence – with quick, brief and very precise expressions from those who may concern it.

¿Acaso es pedir demasiado? ¿Acaso estoy infringiendo alguna ley, alguna norma, o violando el sentido común?

Is that asking too much? Am I breaking any law, any rule, or violating common sense?

Otra vez recurriendo a mi admirado orientador en el proceso de construcción del pensamiento, Aldous Huxley, “no es necesario insistir en lo necesario que son las palabras en la relación social y la construcción de cultura en el sentido antropológico”.

Y Huxley, en una de sus últimas conferencias académicas, ilustró esto con una anécdota verídica y divertida. El pintor Degas y el poeta Mallarmé eran amigos; a Degas le gustaba, en sus ratos libres, escribir poesías:
