PUERTO RICO : BRIBERY SCHEME INVOLVES FORMER GOVERNOR AND HER WHITE COLLAR MONS.

Las Autoridades federales arrestaron en horas de la mañana del Jueves 4 a la ex gobernadora de Puerto Rico, Wanda Vázquez.

Federal authorities arrested the former governor of Puerto Rico, Wanda Vázquez, in the morning hours of Thursday the 4th.

La pregunta es: ¿Por qué arrestaron a WANDA VÁZQUEZ?. Las autoridades federales la  relacionaron por un caso de donativos dónde están involucrados otras personas, relacionadas hacía su campaña política, así lo confirmó la propia ex funcionaria junto con su abogado. Entre otros de los acusados está el banquero internacional Julio Herrera Velutini (Chairman of the Board at Bancredito) y el ex agente del Negociado de Investigaciones Especiales (FBI), Mark Rossini.

The federal authorities related her to a case of donations where other people are involved, related to her political campaign, as confirmed by the former official herself together with her lawyer. Among other defendants is the international banker Julio Herrera Velutini (Chairman of the Board at Bancredito) and the former agent of the Bureau of Special Investigations (FBI), Mark Rossini.

Otro de los cabecillas del caso del esquema de soborno es John Blakeman, quien habría asistido en el manejo turbio de las  finanzas de la campaña de la ex gobernadora Wanda Vázquez, se declaró  culpable por los delitos de conspiración, un esquema de sobornos con fondos federales.

Another of the leaders of the case of the bribery scheme is John Blakeman, who would have assisted in the shady handling of the finances of the campaign of former Governor Wanda Vázquez, pleaded guilty to the crimes of conspiracy, a bribery scheme with federal funds .

Wanda Vázquez llega al poder debido a que en el mes de julio de 2019 se filtró una conversación privada de Telegram por parte de un miembro disgustado con Rosselló, en donde el ex mandatario mientras y ex colaboradores de aquel entonces, hicieron  comentarios homofóbicos hacia la persona del cantante Ricky Martin, políticos funcionarios(as) del Estado entre otros, por sus afinidades y preferencias sexuales.

Wanda Vázquez comes to power because in July 2019 a private Telegram conversation was leaked by a member who was displeased with Rosselló, where the former president and former collaborators at the time made homophobic comments towards the person singer Ricky Martin, politicians, state officials, among others, for their sexual affinities and preferences.

También en dicha «conversación» este mandatario, amenazaba a la prensa, se burló de las víctimas del huracán María de 2017 y otros comentarios fuera de contexto y de muy mal gusto hacia sus adversarios políticos. Esto que al hacerse público, generó una polémica conocida como el «Telegram Gate»

Also in said «conversation» this president threatened the press, made fun of the victims of Hurricane Maria in 2017 and other comments out of context and in very bad taste towards his political opponents. This that when made public, generated a controversy known as the «Telegram Gate»

La filtración, como era de esperarse, generó masivas protestas en Puerto Rico, donde se exigió la salida del mandatario Rosselló, en las que el cantante Ricky Martin tomó el liderazgo en dicho evento por ser uno de los perjudicados con sus comentarios fuera de lugar.

The leak, as expected, generated massive protests in Puerto Rico, where the departure of President Rosselló was demanded, in which the singer Ricky Martin took the lead in said event for being one of those affected by his comments out of place.

Luego Wanda Vázquez, quien era Secretaria de Justicia pasó a convertirse en la primera gobernadora no electa, sino constitucional, porque el Secretario de Estado estaba inhabilitado y ella era la tercera en el mando según la jerarquía de Gobierno de Puerto Rico.

Then Wanda Vázquez, who was Secretary of Justice, became the first governor not elected, but constitutional, because the Secretary of State was disqualified and she was the third in command according to the hierarchy of the Government of Puerto Rico.

Hecho ya un breve recuento del tema, de cómo Wanda Vázquez llegó a la gobernación, con el poco tiempo que estuvo dirigiendo el país, se dedicó hacer las conexiones necesarias para tratar de ser re-electa como gobernadora no pasó de las primarias y como mala perdedora no apoyo a su correligionario, aunque este igualmente (Pedro Pierluisi) salió electo y es el actual Gobernador de Puerto Rico.

Posteriormente, el 3 de marzo de 2020, en intercambio mensajes entre Herrera Velutini, le dice a Rossini dice: «Necesito un director de campaña para Vázquez Garced» porque él, según dijo: “no quería que ellos pusieran a un mono de Puerto Rico”. o sea que no pusieran a nadie extraño en ese cambalache, para seguir con «los traqueteos de soborno». Rossini le afirma que de la firma internacional de consultoría va a buscar a una persona de Washington D.C., “porque necesitamos a uno de los nuestros» o sea una de confianza para seguir con los «chanchullos». (sobornos).

Later, on March 3, 2020, in an exchange of messages between Herrera Velutini, he tells Rossini: «I need a campaign manager for Vázquez Garced» because he, according to what he said: «he did not want them to put a monkey from Puerto Rico ”. in other words, they didn’t put anyone strange in that exchange, to continue with «the rattles of bribery.» Rossini tells him that from the international consulting firm he is going to look for a person from Washington D.C., «because we need one of our own» or someone we trust to continue with the «scams» (bribes).

Por consiguiente, el juez federal Francisco Augusto Besosa concedió una solicitud de la División de Integridad Pública del Departamento de Justicia federal para desellar los documentos relacionados con el caso del ex administrador de Vivienda Pública.

Consequently, federal judge Francisco Augusto Besosa granted a request from the Public Integrity Division of the federal Department of Justice to unseal the documents related to the case of the former Public Housing administrator.

Según el pliego de cargos,  la ex mandataria Wanda Vázquez se reunió con Herrera Velutini y con Blakeman, entre otras personas, en un “lujoso hotel” de la capital  donde le aseguraron que contratarían una firma internacional de consultores políticos que la ayudaría en sus aspiraciones de mantenerse en la gobernación.

According to the statement of objections, former president Wanda Vázquez met with Herrera Velutini and Blakeman, among other people, in a «luxurious hotel» in the capital where they assured her that they would hire an international firm of political consultants that would help her in her aspirations to stay in the governorate.

Cómo dato curiosos trataron a toda costa de ocultar el soborno y los pagos de Herrera Velutini, que Blakeman ayudó a coordinar. Se hicieron a cuentas de banco de terceros, según las autoridades federales. A pesar de los hechos Wanda Vázquez acepta que se reunió con él, pero no prometió nada. Tendremos que ver el desenlace en los siguientes días y ver…¿Quién dice la verdad?

How curious facts tried at all costs to hide the bribery and payments of Herrera Velutini, which Blakeman helped coordinate. They were made to third-party bank accounts, according to federal authorities. Despite the facts, Wanda Vázquez accepts that she met him, but did not promise anything. Por otra parte, todo esto, me recuerda un comentario del ex presidente de EE.UU Donald Trump, que en una ocasión describió a los los políticos de Puerto Rico como  corruptos y yo le agrego aquí «un poco de sal en la herida»: «Son unos Endiosados, viciosos  del poder, intocables, engreídos y otros adeptos que no son de mi preferencia».

On the other hand, all of this reminds me of a comment by former US President Donald Trump, who once described Puerto Rican politicians as corrupt and I add «a little salt to the wound» here: «They are godlike, vicious of power, untouchable, conceited and other adepts that are not my preference.»

Cada cuatrienio los federales, llegan  a las puertas de los hogares de los corruptos políticos y sus secuaces, «Que tomaron  atribuciones y llenándose  de poder, dónde como aves de rapiña velan la oportunidad de arañar una tajada del dinero del Tío Sam… y luego «Los Señor Federico» (federales) tocan a la puerta describiendose: Somos los federales abran la puerta. y el resto es la embarrada».. 

Every four years, the feds arrive at the doors of the homes of corrupt politicians and their henchmen, «Who took power and filled themselves with power, where like birds of prey they watch over the opportunity to scratch a slice of Uncle Sam’s money… and then » The Señor Federico» (federals) knock on the door describing themselves: We are the federals, open the door.
