COLOMBIA: VIRNA JOHNSON AND SANTA MARTA STANDING STRONG

Los vuelos a Santa Marta generalmente vienen de la ciudad de Bogotá mientras que algunos vuelos internacionales llegan a Barranquilla.

Santa Marta tiene dos marcadas temporadas: «la seca» (Diciembre-Abril) con probabilidades de lluvia sumamente escasas, y «la lluviosa» (Mayo-Noviembre). La temporada seca se acentúa más durante febrero mientras que la lluviosa durante octubre, y aunque puede que sea temporada de lluvias es muy seguro que el “calorcito” se note, ya que rara vez se baja de los 27 y 28⁰.

Santa Marta has two marked seasons: «the dry» (December-April) with extremely low chances of rain, and «the rainy» (May-November). Como valor agregado cabe mencionar que entre la ciudad y sus alrededores, pueden enumerarse todos los pisos térmicos, apreciable desde El Rodadero con su inigualable ambiente de verano hasta las faldas de la Sierra que asciende hacia mágicos e inesperados poblados cafeteros como Minca. Esto último nos ofrece un claro indicio de una muy interesante alternativa al caluroso clima de Santa Marta, en donde en contados minutos, el ascenso por las estribaciones de la Sierra ofrecerá formidables experiencias imposibles de encontrar en otro sitio del Caribe y tal vez en el mismo Europa. Desde luego en la costa y el mar, con el increíble juego de luz que ofrecen los días samarios, se encuentran los deportes náuticos, el buceo, la natación y la alegría de todos los asistentes a sus innumerables playas.
