Víctor Argüelles Ángeles es poeta, escritor, artista plástico, académico, ponente, gestor cultural independiente, estudioso permanente del conocimiento, espíritu inquieto, observador, a veces solitario, y creador desde distintos ámbitos. Su amplia trayectoria lo define y esta vez está concentrado en la fase final de su nuevo libro que podría titularse Inventario de enfermedad poética. Víctor Argüelles Ángeles is a poet, writer, plastic artist, academic, speaker, independent cultural manager, permanent student of knowledge, restless spirit, observer, sometimes lonely, and creator from different fields. His extensive career defines him and this time he is concentrating on the final phase of his new book, which could be entitled Inventory of Poetic Disease.

Algunos de sus poemas han sido traducidos al neerlandés, portugués, italiano e inglés. Es promotor y coordinador de los Festivales Escritores en Resistencia desde el Cerro del Viento y el Festival Internacional de Poesía Palabra en el Mundo (en su versión local en Ecatepec, Estado de México).

Some of his poems have been translated into Dutch, Portuguese, Italian and English. He is the promoter and coordinator of the Writers in Resistencia Festivals from the Cerro del Viento and the International Festival of Word Poetry in the World (in its local version in Ecatepec, State of Mexico).

Víctor Argüelles está trabajando en lo que será una recopilación de poemas que han sido publicados en revistas o antologías colectivas, que desea presentar como una suma que sintetice un periodo creativo de trabajo a través de una antología personal de textos, y no descarta que en esta antología personal se incluyan poemas inéditos. Refiere que son textos originales, considera que por los tiempos podría estar listo quizá antes que finalice el año, noviembre o diciembre, y la propuesta de título dependerá de aprobaciones, entre otras cosas. No llevan un orden cronológico, al analizarlo responden en su momento a algo que estaba viviendo en ese tiempo, es el lenguaje que uno lo trae como una huella de nacimiento, lenguaje visual, poético, plástico, el lenguaje está atravesado de anomalías, no es perfecto, y la enfermedad poética es como una dicotomía, como actúo no es perfecto, muchos piensan como al estilo de los barrocos en la literatura que el poema clásico debe ser medido, tiene su métrica y hay quienes defienden la poesía como una experiencia, una eventualidad, estoy tratando de buscarle consonancia con el conjunto de textos.

Las letras del maestro Víctor Argüelles conquistaron al poeta Fa Claes, quien tradujo sus poemas al neerlandés en el 2007, donde fue gratamente sorprendido cuando su trabajo temprano llamó la atención del Doctor en Lenguas Germánicas, quien presentó su trabajo en la revista Decontrabas (en español significa El contrabajo) y quedó en el blog de Fa Claes, autor de poemarios en holandés y traducciones al español.

Alessandro Atanes es otro poeta que quedó enganchado con las letras de Víctor Argüelles, a raíz de la publicación de la antología colectiva Poesía para el fin del mundo (Kodama cartonera, Tijuana B.C 2012) en la que ambos poetas fueron publicados. En esta travesía también fue traducido al inglés el poema “Emblema vacío”, que meses antes había sido incluido en la antología coordinada por Ana Matías Rendón (Los 43 poetas por Ayotzinapa, Ciudad de México, 2015), el mismo poema ve una tercera publicaciónque respondió a la edición coordinada por Lucia Cupertino, traducida al italiano (43 Poeti per Ayotzinapa, edizioni Arcoiris, Salerno, Italia, 2016); este libro se puede adquirir impreso y apoyar a las madres de los estudiantes.

Empezó a exponer desde 1989 cuando vivía en Tuxpan, Veracruz, donde formaba parte del taller Diego Rivera, que fue una escuela de arte inicial establecida en aquel puerto, posteriormente, en 1993 estudió en la Casa de Cultura de Poza Rica, en la que permaneció hasta 1995. Las primeras exposiciones colectivas fueron posibles de manera local.

He began to exhibit in 1989 when he lived in Tuxpan, Veracruz, where he was part of the Diego Rivera workshop, which was an initial art school established in that port, later, in 1993 he studied at the Casa de Cultura de Poza Rica, where he remained until 1995. El Encuentro de Escritores en Resistencia desde el Cerro del Viento en 2020 fue virtual, por razones que todos conocemos. Este proyecto es de alguna forma la prolongación del Encuentro de Escritores por Ciudad Juárez donde se originó para hacer visible el fenómeno de violencia.

Tiene como antecedente un encuentro que se realizó en 2013, iniciativa que nació en Ciudad Juárez, que generó interés y hubo otros encuentros en distintas ciudades y en otros países, con la particularidad de protesta con el tema de la violencia hacia las mujeres que en los años 90 se destapó con acontecimientos terribles en el norte del país.

Después de esto para 2016 en Ecatepec crea el Encuentro de Escritores en Resistencia desde el Cerro del Viento, que se ha fortalecido durante cinco ediciones, preparados para organizar la sexta edición que ha destacado como un encuentro de manera local, sobre todo de una promoción libre, reuniendo los recursos de manera independiente, ya que no existen patrocinios por parte de ninguna institución, esto ocurre con muchos de los proyectos que se desarrollan en Ecatepec.

Organiza el Festival Internacional de Poesía Palabra en el Mundo, en el que se involucró desde 2016. Abrió una convocatoria este año de la que recibió buena respuesta de poetas de Ecuador, Brasil y Venezuela, además de voces poéticas de nuestro país, y se llevó a cabo en un evento virtual. En el centro regional de cultura de Ecatepec, en 2018 llevó a cabo en San Pedro Xalostoc un festival que ha sido otra de las iniciativas internacionales que nace con otros poetas de Chile y España.

It organizes the International Festival of Word Poetry in the World, in which it has been involved since 2016. It opened a call this year from which it received a good response from poets from Ecuador, Brazil and Venezuela, as well as poetic voices from our country, and performed in a virtual event. Víctor se siente genuinamente comprometido con la cultura y el arte, piensa que es necesario que identifiquen una presencia positiva de Ecatepec, Estado de México, porque en los ámbitos informativos este lugar es considerado una periferia con historias que tienden a lo negativo, que hacen referencia a la inestabilidad social y nosotros (poetas, escritores, artistas plásticos) estamos interesados en fomentar la cultura. Víctor feels genuinely committed to culture and art, he thinks that it is necessary for them to identify a positive presence of Ecatepec, State of Mexico, because in the informational spheres this place is considered a periphery with stories that tend towards the negative, which refer to to social instability and we (poets, writers, artists) are interested in promoting culture.

Este vínculo con Ecatepec se fue tejiendo poco a poco cuando fue su lugar de residencia por el año 2009 en el que se instaló para colocarse en un trabajo, si bien es de origen veracruzano, sus estudios y trabajo lo han llevado a cambiar de domicilio necesariamente, como ocurrió al tener que tomar por hogar temporal de 2018 a 2020 Cuernavaca, para estudiar la Maestría en Estudios de Arte y Literatura, en la Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Morelos.

Ecatepec al ser colindante con la Ciudad de México llama la atención la migración diaria, que es parecida a lo que ocurre de Tijuana a Ciudad Juárez y Estados Unidos. En Ciudad Neza, hay un proyecto que registra las migraciones, pasar las vías, esa migración la hacemos todos y me interesa, la voy a estudiar, expresa Víctor.

Él mismo ha sido migrante a lo largo de su vida, al terminar su carrera en el 2001 viajó a Chiapas para trabajar. En ese desplazamiento se ve el cambio de contextos, es muy visible de un lugar a otro, los fenómenos culturales provocan que nos preguntemos qué hay detrás de esto que obligan a abrir otros caminos a nivel cultural y artístico, se tiene el compromiso de registrar todas las eventualidades.

He himself has been a migrant throughout his life, when he finished his career in 2001 he traveled to Chiapas to work. In this displacement we see the change of contexts, it is very visible from one place to another, the cultural phenomena cause us to wonder what is behind this that forces us to open other paths at a cultural and artistic level, we have the commitment to register all eventualities.

Alguien que es de Ecatepec o vive ahí, lo refleja, y es notorio, lo mismo con artistas de la Ciudad de México, los artistas visuales lo muestran en su trabajo.

El maestro Argüelles es consciente de que el tiempo debe ser aprovechado como una inversión y todos los años está estudiando, preparándose en cursos, diplomados, y posgrados, con miras a cultivarse, confiesa que ha dejado un poco la producción plástica, refiere que es necesario entregarse a lo que está haciendo, que por este tiempo son poemas y proyectos culturales, que de alguna manera lo han vinculado entre académicos y la interculturalidad que es una divergencia de conocimientos que practica. Cuenta con los diplomados de 2009 a 2010 en el Programa Escritura Creativa, Universidad del Claustro de Sor Juana, Ciudad de México, y Creación Literaria, Centro de Creación Literaria Xavier Villaurrutia, Ciudad de México 2013-2014. En 1997 recibió la beca “Jóvenes Creadores” por parte del Instituto Veracruzano de la Cultura, de Xalapa, Veracruz; en 2009 recibió el Primer premio de poesía IV Certamen Literario “Palabra en el viento” del Centro Regional de Cultura José María Morelos y Pavón, Instituto Mexiquense de Cultura, Ecatepec, Estado de México; de 2014 a 2015 recibió el Financiamiento del Padrón Nacional de Posgrados de Calidad del CONACYT para estudios de Posgrado, Especialización en Literatura Mexicana del Siglo XX, UAM Azcapotzalco, Ciudad de México; de 2018 a 2020 obtuvo el Financiamiento del Padrón Nacional de Posgrados de Calidad del CONACYT para estudios de Posgrado, Maestría en Estudios de Arte y Literatura, Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Morelos, Cuernavaca, Morelos.

Cuando terminó la maestría siguió por la línea de la investigación para conocer los fenómenos artísticos, culturales, y considera que continuará por esta vía además de su trabajo literario.

Con publicaciones propias y en trece antologías de distintos lugares es difícil publicar y con todos los esfuerzos no se ha logrado mucho, no hay todavía una resonancia, solo puedo decir que tengo la fe de que ocurrirá algo.

La gestión cultural independiente es una de las partes que vas aprendiendo cuando te cierran las puertas las instituciones, fue como una contraposición, pensó, no me dan espacios, pues los voy a generar como consecuencia de vivir una serie de rechazos hacia mi trabajo. Se planteó seriamente abandonar la timidez, abrir espacios para él y los demás, al principio se cruzó la incertidumbre y por necesidad consiguió la fortaleza para considerarse organizador de eventos de poetas, recitales y exposiciones de obras plásticas.

Independent cultural management is one of the parts that you learn when institutions close the doors, it was like a contrast, he thought, they don’t give me spaces, because I’m going to generate them as a consequence of experiencing a series of rejections towards my work. He seriously considered abandoning shyness, opening spaces for himself and others, at first he crossed the uncertainty and by necessity he got the strength to consider himself an organizer of events of poets, recitals and exhibitions of plastic works.

Actualmente hay personas especializadas que tienen estudios de Gestión Cultural, pero en los años 90 y 2000 fueron tiempos difíciles en que muchos artistas fuimos creyendo en nuestros propios proyectos, nuevas brechas para los productos que se van a consumir productos culturales y no todos tenemos las condiciones, hemos tenido que afrontar las consecuencias y crear las condiciones en las que queremos trabajar.

Currently there are specialized people who have Cultural Management studies, but in the 90s and 2000s they were difficult times in which many artists believed in our own projects, new gaps for the products that are going to consume cultural products and not all of us have the conditions , we have had to face the consequences and create the conditions in which we want to work.

Fue demandante su trabajo de 1996 al 2005 como artista plástico. Actualmente sigue pintando, es solo que ocupa sus trazos para dar un servicio, ya que desde hace algunos años ha privilegiado a la literatura, es cierto que arrastra a la pintura durante los eventos de lectura poética al realizar una exposición y los asistentes pueden ver sus obras.

Independiente de que pueda generar ingresos por las ventas de sus cuadros, el maestro Argüelles sigue pintando en las condiciones que sus compromisos se lo permitan y lo acompaña de poesía, hay días y momentos en los que se programa en la mañana para pintar y las noches y madrugadas para escribir, han sido años de esta práctica, además de la gestión de eventos culturales y las investigaciones, algo que también le interesa.

Regardless of whether he can generate income from the sales of his paintings, the master Argüelles continues to paint under the conditions that his commitments allow him and he accompanies him with poetry, there are days and times when he is scheduled to paint in the morning and at night. and early mornings to write, have been years of this practice, in addition to the management of cultural events and research, something that also interests him.

Desde 2002 inició en la docencia a nivel licenciatura con distintas experiencias en el ámbito académico en el que se tiene que ser disciplinado para proyectarlo, inyectarle al alumno la necesidad de profesionalizarse, como maestro se ha fortalecido en las clases, fue curioso porque tenía una formación didáctica, en ese tiempo no se conocía la curaduría, se iba abriendo en los años 90 y a pesar de la ausencia de una formación pedagógica, mi llamado ha sido por la vocación, que el alumno aprenda a tener paciencia,  tenemos que ir viendo los tiempos que lleva cada proyecto, ir analizando de todo, hay estudiantes que desean ser diseñadores, otros quieren ser artistas, algunos interesados por el cine o la fotografía, y a cada uno le he prestado atención para mostrarles el camino y las capacidades.
