DOMINICAN REPUBLIC: INTEGRAL AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT, UNION OF DEVELOPMENT OF THE ALTAGRACIA PROVINCE (UDEPAL)

Con los fines de informar, concientizar, edificar a la ciudadanía y, a la vez transmitir nuestro reclamo de Justicia Social, al honorable Presidente de la República Dominicana; Luis Abinader Corona.

In order to inform, raise awareness, build the citizenship and, at the same time, transmit our claim for Social Justice to the honorable President of the Dominican Republic; Luis Abinader Corona.

Esta institución cívica, sin fines de lucro, presenta a la opinión pública los siguientes planteamientos y reclamos en nombre de Dios, la patria y el pueblo:

This non-profit civic institution presents the following statements and claims to the public opinion on behalf of God, the country and the people:

1ro: La visión, el objetivo y el propósito de UDEPAL es, trabajar por la unidad y el crecimiento de nuestro pueblo de mano con autoridades de la provincia Altagracia: Gobernadora, Alcalde, Senador, Diputados, Directores Distritales, además del liderazgo organizado de la Sociedad Civil y el Liderazgo Político y Religioso. No surgimos para crear disturbios, ni buscar protagonismo, ni ocupar espacios políticos, ni pretender competir con otras instituciones afines. Nuestro Objetivo es, servir y luchar por el desarrollo Integral y sostenido de nuestro pueblo. 1st: The vision, objective and purpose of UDEPAL is to work for the unity and growth of our town hand in hand with authorities of the Altagracia province: Governor, Mayor, Senator, Representatives, District Directors, in addition to the organized leadership of Civil Society and Political and Religious Leadership. We did not emerge to create disturbances, or seek prominence, or occupy political spaces, or try to compete with other related institutions. Our objective is to serve and fight for the integral and sustained development of our people.

2do: Desde que UDEPAL se organizó hasta este momento, hemos agotado una amplia agenda de visitas a entidades gubernamentales y no gubernamentales a los fines de promover las causas de carácter desarrollista y social que traerán beneficio a la provincia Altagracia. Visitamos en comisión al Senado de la Republica; tuvimos encuentros con el Alcalde la Municipio de Higuey y con la Gobernadora de la provincia, además realizamos actividades masivas con la presencia del liderazgo empresarial, político, social, comunitario y religioso de la provincia Altagracia, planteando la necesidad imperiosa y urgente de obras y proyectos que traerán dinamismo, desarrollo, empleos y crecimiento económico a nuestra gente. 2nd: Since UDEPAL was organized until now, we have exhausted a wide schedule of visits to governmental and non-governmental entities in order to promote developmental and social causes that will benefit Altagracia province. We visited the Senate of the Republic in commission; We had meetings with the Mayor of the Municipality of Higuey and with the Governor of the province, we also carried out massive activities with the presence of the business, political, social, community and religious leadership of the Altagracia province, raising the urgent and urgent need for works and projects that will bring dynamism, development, jobs and economic growth to our people.

3ro: En la lista de obras que esta institución considera importantes para el desarrollo de nuestra provincia, tal y como otras instituciones, también lo han planteado están: 3rd: In the list of works that this institution considers important for the development of our province, as other institutions have also raised are:

1- )  La construcción de la Avenida Circunvalación de Higuey. The construction of the Avenida Circunvalación de Higuey.
2- ) La Terminación del  Acueducto del municipio de Higuey, además de la construcción de un  Sistema de Alcantarillado Sanitario (solución a la contaminación de nuestras fuentes de agua, lagunas y Ríos). Además de la construcción del Acueducto de Verón-Punta Cana (Sistema de Alcantarillado Sanitario). The completion of the Aqueduct of the municipality of Higuey, in addition to the construction of a Sanitary Sewerage System (solution to the contamination of our water sources, lagoons and rivers). In addition to the construction of the Verón-Punta Cana Aqueduct (Sanitary Sewerage System).
3- ) La Construcción de una Presa para la preservación y almacenamiento de nuestras aguas, logrando con esto el suministro del preciado líquido al acueducto existente y  al que habrá de construirse en Verón-Punta Cana. The Construction of a Dam for the preservation and storage of our waters, thus achieving the supply of the precious liquid to the existing aqueduct and to the one to be built in Verón-Punta Cana.
4- ) La Terminación del Muelle Comercial, Pesquero y Turístico, en Boca de Yuma,  que gracias a la gestiones de nuestro hermano Darío Yunes (Ido del plano Terrenal a Destiempo) logrando que, nuestros Diputados convirtieran en Proyecto de Resolución, el mismo en la Cámara de Diputados. The Completion of the Commercial, Fishing and Tourist Dock, in Boca de Yuma, which, thanks to the efforts of our brother Darío Yunes (Ido from the Earthly plane at the wrong time), achieving that our Deputies turned into a Draft Resolution, the same in the Chamber of Deputies.
5-) Solicitamos el Diseño y Ejecución de un Plan de Ordenamiento Territorial, logrando con ello que el Polo Turístico Verón-Punta Cana, tenga una Eficiente Interacción con el Municipio Cabecera (Higuey), y otras demarcaciones territoriales y, que esto conlleve a un desarrollo integral, sostenido y, crecimiento económico en toda la provincia Altagracia. We request the Design and Execution of a Territorial Organization Plan, thereby achieving that the Verón-Punta Cana Tourist Pole has an Efficient Interaction with the Head Municipality (Higuey), and other territorial demarcations and, that this leads to an integral development, sustained and economic growth throughout the Altagracia province.
6- ) La Construcción de una nueva Cárcel Preventiva y Reubicación de los Impedidos de libertad que como animales cumplen condena en un ambiente catalogado como un: “Cementerio de Hombres Vivos”. The Construction of a new Preventive Prison and Relocation of the Disabled from freedom who as animals are serving a sentence in an environment classified as a: "Cemetery of Living Men".
7- ) Como ciudadano con derecho, deberes y privilegios, le solicitamos al excelentísimo señor presidente de la República Luis Abinader Corona, que intervenga en la situación del proyecto de Construcción del Aeropuerto internacional de Bávaro (AIB). Nuestra Institución ha recogido el sentir popular de las mayorías, y a una sola voz reclaman: “Que ya Inicie la Obra que Traerá Mas Empleo a la Provincia”. As a citizen with rights, duties and privileges, we ask His Excellency Mr. President of the Republic Luis Abinader Corona, to intervene in the situation of the Construction project for the Bávaro International Airport (AIB). Our Institution has gathered the popular sentiment of the majorities, and with one voice they demand: "That the Work that will Bring More Employment to the Province already begins."

Entendemos que la construcción del nuevo Aeropuerto internacional de Bávaro (AIB), representa el mayor empuje a nuestra economía local y un aporte muy significativo a la economía regional y nacional. Provocaría además, la demanda de diversas actividades económicas, promoviendo la libre inversión e incentivando la creación de miles de empleos, siendo esta la mayor necesidad en estos tiempos de crisis provocada por la pandemia del Covid-19,  y además, un tema fundamental en su discurso esperanzador al pueblo Dominicano: “Crear más y más Empleos”.

We understand that the construction of the new Bavaro International Airport (AIB) represents the greatest boost to our local economy and a very significant contribution to the regional and national economy. It would also provoke the demand for various economic activities, promoting free investment and encouraging the creation of thousands of jobs, this being the greatest need in these times of crisis caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, and also a fundamental issue in its Hopeful speech to the Dominican people: «Create more and more Jobs.»
