Luego del tropezón del presidente Joe Biden en el  Air Force One, que visitó la lona y terminó tambaleando hasta montarse en  el avión, los rotativos anunciaron el crimen de las ocho personas como «racismo antiasiático», antes de culminar la investigación.

La comunidad asiática en el sureste de Estados Unidos,  está en alerta por los aumento de  violencia racista y crímenes de odio, la cual ellos piensan que fue el motivo de la masacre, aunque el autor en esta ocasión solo sufrió una bella crisis que no pudo controlar y ahora pagará las consecuencias tras las rejas de una cárcel asignada y lo.menos que le dará es «hipo» cuando llegue a su celda.
