El nombre de la banda fue elegido combinando el apellido de McVie con el de Mick Fletwood (baterista) los únicos músicos que han permanecido en la banda desde su inicio hasta nuestros dias.

The name of the band was chosen combining the last name of McVie with that of Mick Fletwood (drummer) the only musicians who have remained in the band from its inception to the present day.
