Let me tell you a story: Leon the Chameleon

En el alba de un nuevo día, en el bosque de la vida era un lugar hermoso pero diferente, emigraba un pequeño camaleón con unos ojos saltones y con mucho color, pero cambiaba tan rápido que parecía un trompo de mucho color. Vibraba tanto nuestro lindo Camaleón, pero el caminaba con mucha determinación, por eso sus padres le pusieron de nombre León.

At the dawn of a new day, in the forest of life, it was a beautiful but different place. A little chameleon with bulging eyes and lots of color migrated, but he changed so quickly that he looked like a colorful top. Our cute Chameleon vibrated so much, but he walked with great determination, that’s why his parents named him Lion.

El caminaba con sus garritas entre la bella maleza de ese lugar, mosquitos y moscas que revoloteaban a su alrededor, para el eran ¡Una gran delicia! Extendida su lengua larga y ¡Como se deleitaba! Con tan ricos bocadillos. ¡León el camaleón vibraba mucho! no podía parar, algunos animales se burlaban de aquella rara condición, y más cuando se sentía observado por lo demás, le era difícil controlar su temperamento ¡Claro que se enojaba! Pero seguía. Y se ponía a veces hasta negruzco de sentirse criticado ¡Que feo lucio!

He walked with his little claws among the beautiful undergrowth of that place, mosquitoes and flies that fluttered around him, for him they were a great delight! Y continúo caminando entre aquellas gigantescas hojas de olmos muy frescas, escuchaba a veces el susurro de algunos otros animales, que a su paso, se decían ¡Mira! allá va el raro, y el vibraba ¡Mucho más! y sus ojos muy grandes lo delataban, pero no detenía su paso, aunque se sentía de mal genio.

De repente a lo lejos vio una pequeña libélula de un ¡Hermoso color! La observo con calma y su piel cambio en un solo color naranja amarillo ¡Se sentía feliz! Un momento permaneció así, continuo su paso y noto que cerca estaba un bello riachuelo con aguas muy tranquilas y trasparentes con algunas algas marinas y piedras lamosas que sobresalían del agua.

Suddenly, in the distance, he saw a small dragonfly with a beautiful color! He watched it calmly and its skin changed into a single orange-yellow color. He felt happy! He stayed like that for a moment, continued his way and noticed that nearby was a beautiful stream with very calm and transparent waters with some seaweed and slimy stones sticking out of the water.

La pequeña libélula sintió aquella miradita del pequeño camaleón y sin pensarlo dos veces con sus pequeñas alitas tornasolada hacia el voló. Hola soy lila la libélula. ¿Quién eres tú? Entonces el engrandeció su pecho y dijo fuerte soy León el camaleón y después se sonrojo – je, je, je – y vibro multicolor, aquel camaleón de repente ¡Lloro! ¿Qué te pasa? que hermosa habilidad tienes! ¿Todos los colores son tuyos? Y nuestro amigo se sonrojo y de color azul marino cambio y después se carcajeo – je, je, je –

Lila la libélula muy amablemente le sonrió dulcemente y continuo, solo que algo te sucede, no sabes controlar tus emociones, ¡No te preocupes! A todos nos pasa – je, je, je – yo tuve que ir a la escuela de las emociones y aprendí a reconocerlas y controlarlas, pero si tú me permites yo te puedo apoyar. Él le dijo ¿eres Maga o algo así? Lila sonrió dulcemente con voz pausada y tranquila le comento, tu puedes controlarlas ya lo veras.

Amigo, no es malo sentirse triste, enojado, incomodo, motivado o feliz, tú puedes controlarlas, se llaman emociones, y aquel camaleón le ponía toda su atención, y en el interior le agradeció. Ella continuo, ven aquí, cierra tus ojos y confía en mí. Uno, respira muy tranquilo mira lo bello de tu alrededor, tranquilo, respira y cierra tus ojos y piensa algo bonito. Y aquel pequeño camaleón poco a dejo de vibrar como trompo ante la mirada de lila la libélula, ella continuo, ahora dale un color a cada emoción, y suelta el aire.

León el camaleón se puso azul, estaba tranquilo, después de un pequeño tiempo abrió sus ojos, miro a su amiga y cambio de color ¡Bello naranja! Todo su cuerpo emanaba mucha alegría y felicidad, y se observó en aquellas aguas cristalinas ¡Que hermoso lucia! Asombrado sonrió.

Leon the chameleon turned blue, he was calm, after a little while he opened his eyes, looked at his friend and changed color. Beautiful orange! His whole body emanated much joy and happiness, and he looked at himself in those crystal clear waters. How beautiful he looked! He smiled in amazement.

Y sus ojos saltones miraban ahora con una bella expresión, y pasaron unos cotorros y le dijeron adiós raro, y el tomo las cosas con calma e hizo una gran respiración, volteo y les dijo, dirán extraordinario ese soy yo. León el camaleón tenía toda la razón, entonces aquellos cotorros nunca mas le volvieron a llamar así, León el camaleón en un color verde muy bello y un ligero toque a violeta hacia Lila la libélula se acercó, muchas gracias amiga, aprendí mucho hoy, ahora fue Lila la libélula la que se sonrojó. ¡De nada amigo! y allí juntos se quedaron platicando los dos.
