En el camino de unos buenos samaritanos que ayudaban en una casa donde se auxiliaba a niñas y niños sin hogar. Sucedió un día cerca de la navidad, algo muy extraño que te quiero contar.

Aquel hombre con su esposa Doris que jamás habían tenido hijos eran amables con todo mundo aun siendo de recursos modestos, cada año contaban con sus ahorros para fabricarles humildemente sus regalos.

Haciendo 14 pares de zapatos cada año para regalar en navidad, aquel hombre llamado Pedro entradito de años los hacia con ¡gran felicidad!, se daba por bien pagado cuando con una ¡gran sonrisa! le agradecían, al mirar aquel lindo par de zapatos nuevos, siempre eran negros y blancos no había más, pues las pieles de colores eran muy caras y ellos no las podían pagar, así que darles unos zapatos de colores -uuufff- ¡ni pensar!

Al verla nuevamente de pie y con un hermoso color rosado… ¡Qué gran alegría me has dado!

Y le dijo a Doris: ahora si pondré manos a la obra para hacer los zapatos, que vamos a entregar; en ese momento no le paso por la mente que ya no tenía cuero, ni dinero para hacer aquel calzado, que ansiosamente esperaban ya aquellos pequeños y pequeñas, le dijo con voz amable a Doris, linda vete a dormir yo me quedo esta noche a trabajar -uuufff- y que ve el calendario. ¡Faltaban 3 días para navidad! -Chin- a su taller llego por fin y cuando abrió su cajita de ahorro ¡Muy triste noto! No tenia nada para hacer su labor solo medio cuero y pintura roja que por allí observo. Pedro en silencio lloro ¿Que voy a hacer? ¡No les puedo fallar! ¡Ayúdame padre del cielo! ¿Como esto tengo que arreglar?

Y sobre aquella mesa lloro, tanto que allí mismo se durmió, pero entonces que empieza la acción, que llegan un par de duendes que se habían cachado toda la acción, entre ellos se sonrieron, ¡Eran Tapo y Tepo! Unos duendes de la bondad, y entre luces navideñas y sonidos de campanas pusieron a la magia a trabajar, solo se escuchaban aquellas pequeñas pisaditas al pasar. ¡Tapo, Tepo, Tapo, Tepo! en todo el lugar, rápidamente estiraron aquel pedazo de piel y le vaciaron pintura roja, quedando un color sin igual, tijeras, hilos y suelas para armar.

And on that table he cried, so much that he fell asleep right there, but then the action begins, a couple of elves arrive who had caught all the action, they smiled at each other, They were Tapo and Tepo! Some elves of goodness, and between Christmas lights and the sounds of bells they put the magic to work, only those small footsteps could be heard as they passed by. Tapo, Tapo, Tapo, Tapo! Throughout the place, they quickly stretched that piece of skin and poured red paint on it, leaving a color like no other, scissors, threads and soles to assemble.

Terminaron en toda la noche 16 pares de botas rojas ¡Tan bellas como nunca se han visto jamás! Al llegar el alba los duendecillos se fueron a descansar. Entonces despertó Pedro ¡No podía ni hablar! al ver las botas en la mesa listas para entregar. Doris llego feliz, hacia Pedro se dirigió ¡Que bellas botas rojas!, Pedro le sonrió y rápidamente las fueron a entregar. Aquellos pequeños estaban tan felices como nunca. Todas y todos estrenaron unas preciosas botas roja, aquellos pequeños estaban ¡fascinados!

He couldn’t even speak! seeing the boots on the table ready to deliver. Doris arrived happy, she went to Pedro. What beautiful red boots! Pedro smiled at her and they quickly went to deliver them. Those little ones were as happy as ever. They all wore beautiful red boots for the first time, those little ones were fascinated!

Solo que Pedro y Doris muy felices sus botas rojas estrenaban ¡qué bien lucían! Por las noches se les oye conversar, con alguien que los demás nunca vean a los duendes de la bondad. ¡Gracias Tapo y Tepo, muchas gracias!
