MEXICO: FAITHFUL VISIT SAN MIGUEL ARCÁNGEL

Ciudad de México.- La Parroquia San Miguel Arcángel que se localiza en el centro de la Ciudad de México (metro Pino Suárez), ha sido adornada con flores, el colorido anuncia la fiesta que los devotos esperan y gozan cada año, en este día especial.

Mexico City.- The San Miguel Arcángel Parish, which is located in the center of Mexico City (Pino Suárez metro), has been adorned with flowers, the color announcing the feast that devotees expect and enjoy every year, on this special day.

Esta vez hubo bancas dispuestas para los visitantes, misas a lo largo del día, sin distingo de clases o de otra índole, el pueblo se presentó unido por la fe.

Durante la misa se nombraron a los arcángeles Miguel, Rafael y Gabriel, a quienes podían entregar sus plegarias. Católicos acuden para solicitar protección a San Miguel incluso quienes están en las filas del ejército y las corporaciones policiales.
Algunos feligreses agradecidos por lo que consideran milagros recibidos o la protección con la que cuentan, llevan dulces, estampillas o accesorios útiles para obsequiar entre los asistentes.

During the mass, the archangels Michael, Raphael and Gabriel were named, to whom they could deliver their prayers. Catholics come to request protection from San Miguel even those who are in the ranks of the army and police corporations. Some parishioners, grateful for what they consider to be miracles received or the protection they have, bring sweets, stamps, or useful accessories to give to attendees.

En los alrededores se cuenta con mayor presencia policial para seguridad de quienes acuden a esta iglesia y que en una de sus placas en el exterior a la vista podemos conocer que este templo es la segunda parroquia fundada en México, construida por Pedro de Arrieta en el siglo XVII, que destaca por sus torres octagonales, rematadas con azulejos, además de que la belleza arquitectónica también se aprecia en sus pinturas, relieves y esculturas de los siglos XVII y XVIII.
Esperanza y alegría se respira en el ambiente, mientras la tienda al interior de este lugar ha vendido muchas veladoras, imágenes de los arcángeles, botellas con agua bendita, rosarios y otros recuerdos que los asistentes adquieren.
