AMAZED BY LUMINOL AND FAILURES

Organic stains could be located, if there was semen, saliva, blood in a scene, with luminol it shines and is locatable. From what they gave me, I asked the chemist to divide the luminol into four parts, using their equipment, and then I was dosing it, because if you mix this material you had to give it a single use, then it would no longer be useful. I started doing tests and I realized several flaws, that luminol reacted with some types of soaps, human blood, animal blood, human or animal meat, it gave many false positives, and it contaminated the samples, if I found a sample with luminol. When luminol was thrown on a blood sample, it was contaminated and was no longer useful for carrying out a genetic test. It was altered. I stopped using luminol, and what I did want was a set of special lights so that with just the light I could locate fingerprints or stains of genetic material without touching them, that material was never given to me.”

Comencé haciendo pruebas y me di cuenta de varias fallas, de que el luminol hacía reacción con algunos tipos de jabones, sangre humana, de animales, carne humana o de animales, arrojaba muchos falsos positivos, y contaminaba las muestras, si localizaba con luminol una muestra de sangre al arrojarle luminol quedaba contaminada y ya no servía para realizar una prueba genética, quedaba alterada, yo dejé de utilizar el luminol, y lo que sí quería era un juego de luces especiales para que con solo la luz poder localizar huellas dactilares o manchas de material genético sin tocarlas, ese material nunca me lo entregaron”.
