SPEARHEAD: THE BOOK OF GENERAL ZAPATEIRO.

El jueves 22 de junio fui a la ciudad de Cartagena para saludar al señor General Eduardo Zapateiro Altamiranda, mi amigo, y cercano fui y soy de grande aprecio, a sus progenitores y hermanos, admiración de vieja data. Por ello era un deber moral y goce espiritual, escuchar el relato de su libro: EL HONOR AL DEBER CUMPLIDO.

For this reason it was a moral duty and spiritual enjoyment to listen to the story of his book: THE HONOR TO DUTY FULFILLED.

Pese a que el prologo de Juan Lozano, es muy claro y está escrito con exquisita fluidez, propia de un reconocido periodista y académico por tradición y herencia, por ello, es poco a primera vista, lo que podría agregarle en esta Punta de Lanza, a tan brillante pluma. No obstante, muchas veces el corazón ve y siente, como los ojos, que son la memoria del tiempo.

El libro y los registros fotográficos, como las secuencias de algunos aportes noticiosos, de diversas fuentes, que provienen de años tras años, nos dan el primer parte, para medirle el pulso al militar Zapaterio y poder asegurar sin temor a equivocaciones, que inicio su vida, de pie o en acción, sobre una bitácora, en la que registró cada paso, cada movimiento, cada error, y cada acierto, en cada una de sus páginas, lo que me permitiría crear una metáfora, para decir, que cada hoja del libro corresponde a un amanecer y un despertar de su vida tanto de soldado, como de oficial, hasta llegar al grado de General de cuatro soles, con lo cual, al compendiar todos esos detalles y convertirlos en un libro de 330 páginas, con una letra tal vez calibre 18, fácilmente podemos decir que es una enciclopedia con más de 600 páginas, algunas de ellas muy bien ilustradas.

El libro no solo es historia, es un manual bien concebido, que sirve de ejemplo, de guía, para convertirse en un militar de servicio, de honor y deber, y no de un simple militar de uniforme con visos de pacotilla que puede ser manipulable o manejable por los caprichos de lo absurdo, o comandado por un superior de bajo criterio y de poca fe por la causa.

The book is not only history, it is a well-conceived manual, which serves as an example, as a guide, to become a soldier of service, of honor and duty, and not of a simple soldier in a uniform with cheap overtones who can be manipulated or manageable by the whims of the absurd, or commanded by a superior with low criteria and little faith in the cause.

Cuando un general se le acerca al jefe supremo de las fuerzas armadas y policiales, es decir, al presidente de la república, con el respeto y la lógica que dictan la experiencia y el conocimiento científico, sumados a los principios, y, le hace ver lo malo de una determinación gubernamental equivocada, eso significa que se trata de un verdadero General, con criterio propio y personalidad. Eso hizo el general Zapaterio con el presidente DUQUE, un gobernante decente, y escuchador. Desde luego el presidente tiene siempre la última palabra, y el equilibrio de la determinación, si conlleva al peligro, tambien tiene otra respuesta. Cuando no ocurre asi, es decir no media el militar consejero, entonces se trata de un simple vasallo que lleva la elegancia del uniforme, pero no la pureza y convicción de ser un patriota de principios y valores bien definidos. Es decir, un sumiso adiestrado por la magia de un político perverso, o la ambición de escalar por las vías de la complicidad un escalafón mal habido.

El libro del General Zapateiro, refleja el talante de un ser que se supero para llegar mas lejos de esos 4 soles, el que ya hoy, vestido de saco y corbata, de camisa y overoles, refleja la sencillez, y la humidad de un hombre que sigue trabajando por preservar la dignidad de la patria colombiana, su estado de derecho, la ley, el orden, el cumplimiento de la constitución y una paz bien concebida, no ajustada al querer de la criminalidad y en beneficio de la impunidad.

General Zapateiro’s book reflects the spirit of a being who surpassed himself to go further than those 4 suns, the one who already today, dressed in a jacket and tie, shirt and overalls, reflects the simplicity and humility of a man that continues working to preserve the dignity of the Colombian homeland, its rule of law, law, order, compliance with the constitution and a well-conceived peace, not adjusted to the will of criminality and in favor of impunity.

Zapateiro, el hombre de la inteligencia estratégica. Sin duda alguna, para haber podido dar los resultados que se registran en su obra, capturas y bajas, se requiere ser muy analítico, detallista, observador, paciente, que maneja la inteligencia emocional a la perfección y para entender y conducir la contra inteligencia, se requiere de una lógica matemática que le da sensibilidad a la intuición, y que no puede existir errores, o por lo menos, llevarlos a la mínima expresión. Por eso, dignifico los derechos humanos.

Qué libro tan formidable. No cansa su lectura a pesar que la letra es muy pequeña, el grafema se crece, se hace leíble por el valor y atracción de los contenidos.

El valor humano del General ZAPATIRO / The human value of General ZAPATEIRO

Su amor por sus padres y sus hermanos, su esposa y sus hijos, a los que ve como el altar supremo del respeto, y la gratitud de amar la vida, demuestra que ser militar, no representa lo inhumano. Todos tienen su corazon, y todos tienen sus sensibilidades. Por ello, recibi su mensaje en el acopio de sus experiencias y relatos, como una lección contundente, para quienes se refieren a los militares y policiales, como hombres maquinas. Se piensa equivocadamente que no sienten el dolor, y no tienen amor. Por ello, los vándalos que, si son unos desalmados, los queman, o los indígenas descastados los ultrajan. Que fácil es quitarse esas lacras humanas con unas ráfagas. Pero no, el soldado y el policía cuando ve a un vándalo, está pensando en que tienen al frente a un ser humano que tambien tiene familia. Ahí está la diferencia entre un CRIMINAL Y UN SOLDADO O POLICIA.

Everyone has their heart, and everyone has their sensibilities. For this reason, I received his message in the collection of his experiences and stories, as a forceful lesson, for those who refer to the military and police, as machine men. It is mistakenly thought that they do not feel pain, and do not have love. For this reason, the vandals who, if they are heartless, burn them, or the outcast indigenous people outrage them. How easy it is to remove those human scourges with a few bursts. But no, when the soldier and the policeman see a vandal, they are thinking that they are facing a human being who also has a family. There is the difference between a CRIMINAL AND A SOLDIER OR POLICE.

El honor del deber cumplido, es un libro escrito sin triunfalismos, pero si con dolor de patria. Escrito sin exageraciones, y con honestidad. En buena hora escribe Eduardo, el gran general, este libro, sobre todo porque se anticipa a los distorsionadores de la historia, mitómanos e incoherentes por naturaleza, fabricantes de mentiras para convertirlas en verdades, y las verdades para volverlas mentiras. Se les adelanto el General. Bogota.
