Hoy Domingo 10 de Octubre de 2021.- India Martínez será la encargada de poner el broche de oro a la primera edición de ICÓNICA SEVILLA FEST, el nuevo gran festival boutique que ha acogido la capital hispalense durante las últimas tres semanas. India Martínez llega al escenario de la Plaza de España con su gira “Palmeras Tour”, con la que está presentando su último trabajo “Palmeras”, que lanzó en otoño de 2019.

Today Sunday October 10, 2021.- India Martínez will be in charge of putting the finishing touch to the first edition of ICÓNICA SEVILLA FEST, the new great boutique festival that has hosted the capital of Seville for the last three weeks. India Martínez arrives on the Plaza de España stage with her “Palmeras Tour” tour, with which she is presenting her latest work “Palmeras”, which she launched in the fall of 2019.

La I edición de ICÓNICA Sevilla Fest, que arrancó el pasado 22 de septiembre y tendrá su final hoy 10 de octubre en la Plaza de España, con el concierto de India Martínez ha sido un gran éxito de organización y  asistencia, ofreciendo a los sevillanos la posibilidad de ver en su ciudad a los mejores artistas nacionales e internacionales en el entorno monumental e incomparable de la Plaza de España.

India Martínez canta, como se dice, desde la cuna. Era muy niña cuando ganó sus primeros festivales de cante jondo, a los que acudía mientras estudiaba guitarra y solfeo. Fue en la adolescencia cuando se asomó al pop y comenzó a aproximar los dos estilos aparentemente tan lejanos, buscando y creando su propio estilo de mestizaje tan racial como contemporáneo, con el flamenco siempre como cimiento de su arte. India mezcla su talento vocal con la composición. Pese a su juventud, India es ya una veterana de la música española, con sus ocho álbumes, sus discos de oro y platino y su reconocimiento en los premios más prestigiosos, incluidas varias nominaciones en los Grammy Latinos.

India Martínez sings, as they say, from the cradle. She was very young when she won her first cante jondo festivals, which she attended while studying guitar and music theory. It was in adolescence when he took a look at pop and began to bring the two styles seemingly so far closer together, searching and creating his own style of racial and contemporary miscegenation, with flamenco always as the foundation of his art. India mixes her vocal talents with songwriting. Despite her youth, India is already a veteran of Spanish music, with her eight albums, her gold and platinum records, and her recognition at the most prestigious awards, including several Latin Grammy nominations.

Es en 2004, a los 17 años, cuando lanza su primer trabajo discográfico “Azulejos de lunares”, un trabajo eminentemente racial. Cuatro años más tarde, en 2008, comenzó el viaje hacia nuevas músicas y hacia la composición en “Despertar”, que fue nominado a dos Grammy Latinos: Mejor Nuevo Artista y Mejor Ingeniería de Grabación. India sigue buscando nuevas fórmulas y maneras de trabajar, continúa estudiando y formándose (armonía, piano, guitarra acústica, canto, interpretación, baile…). Todos estos cambios dieron sus frutos en 2012 con “Trece verdades”, su primer Disco de Oro que después lo fue de Platino. Durante 48 semanas, el álbum estuvo en la lista de los más vendidos en España. El camino de India continuó con “Otras verdades”, también Disco de Platino. Su  trabajo “Camino de la buena suerte” fue disco de Oro,  y está impregnado de las músicas y experiencias vividas en países como México y Colombia, en lo que constituyó una nueva etapa como compositora y de su creciente mestizaje. Triunfó nuevamente con “Dual” (Disco de Platino), en el que canta a dúo con artistas como Abel Pintos, Enrique Iglesias, David Bisbal o Franco de Vita. En 2016 lanza al mercado “Te cuento un secreto”, con el que obtuvo otro disco de platino, y que se colocó en el número 1 de los más vendidos en España en su primera semana.

To complete the ICONIC music experience Sevilla Fest offers us The Village, a space where you can enjoy a varied gastronomic offer and musical evenings by emerging artists and groups. Entre las grandes sorpresas que han rodeado al Festival, encontramos la mágica iluminación artística que ha lucido el entorno durante los conciertos que componen la primera edición de ICÓNICA. El escenario se convierte en un majestuoso espectáculo visual, donde los iconos de la música actual se funden con esta obra cumbre de Aníbal González, mostrando una visión totalmente desconocida hasta el momento de la misma. Desde el máximo respeto de la organización para con el patrimonio histórico y natural, se ha dado forma al mágico escenario que se ha instalado para las citas musicales programadas: un escenario totalmente transparente, construido a partir de una estructura abierta, sin telas u otros elementos que distorsionen a la propia Plaza de España, que se ha convertido en el escenario y telón de fondo real de cada una de las noches, ofreciendo una fusión de música, patrimonio y cultura a través de una espectacular visión lumínica.

ICÓNICA Sevilla Fest, novel cita en la agenda cultural hispalense, ha ofrecido al público en esta, su primera edición, la renaciente experiencia de vivir la música en directo, al tratarse de uno de los primeros grandes eventos musicales y experienciales andaluces tras la etapa más dura del COVID-19, de la mano de artistas de primer nivel, y en un entorno patrimonial tan emblemático y universal de la ciudad de Sevilla, como es la Plaza de España.  ICÓNICA Sevilla Fest 2021 llega a su fin hoy con la actuación de India Martínez, sobre un escenario por el que han pasado los mejores artistas del momento, como Josep Carreras, Sara Baras, Rosario Flores, Zucchero, Gipsy Kings, Mónica Naranjo, Raphael y SFDK, dando todos ellos al festival un inconfundible sello de prestigio y excelencia. ICÓNICA Sevilla Fest nace de la colaboración entre la promotora sevillana Green Cow Music especializada en la producción de festivales y espectáculos musicales de gran envergadura, y la promotora Concert Studio, firmas que poseen un reconocido sello de excelencia artística. El Festival ha contado con el apoyo de CONTURSA, Congresos y Turismo del Ayuntamiento de Sevilla y con el patrocinio de entidades como Cruzcampo, See Tickets, EVENTSUR, y Ron Dos Maderas/Bodegas Williams&Humbert con la colaboración de Bodegas Nubori. La última cita de ICÓNICA, de la mano de India Martínez, también tendrá, como todas las demás, tintes solidarios, de la mano de uno de los patrocinadores de la cita, EVENTSUR, empresa andaluza especializada en la organización de eventos, que ha decidido donar sus entradas de cada concierto a diversas asociaciones y organismos de ayuda sevillanos y andaluces. Esta última noche de nuestro Festival acogerá a miembros del voluntariado del Hospital Virgen del Rocío.
