OMS: LA PANDEMIA COVID SEGUIRÁ COMO UNA EMERGENCIA SANITARIA INTERNACIONAL

La Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS) decidió este miércoles mantener la pandemia de COVID como una emergencia sanitaria internacional ante las incertidumbres que persisten, en particular por la relativa evolución del virus que podría mutar y ser peligroso así como evadir la inmunidad y esto debido al aumento de los contagios por covid, que incluye la aparición de una nueva sub-variante del ómicron que ha puesto otra vez en la mira a la pandemia ubicándola en primera fila. Ya entramos a la sétima ola del coronavirus. Una «ola» totalmente distinta con los nuevos sub linajes BA.4 y BA.5 de ómicron, ambas han sido rebautizadas de forma no oficial como COVID 22, aunque gran parte de las mutaciones coinciden con las de BA.2, algunas diferencias afectan a la unión al receptor y la evasión de la respuesta inmune mediada por anticuerpos.
