Un gran colombiano, cineasta, gestor cultural que lleva sobre sus hombros desde su Fundación y dirección en 1984 del Festival de Cine de Bogotá (BOGOCINE).

A great Colombian, filmmaker, cultural manager who has carried on his shoulders since his Foundation and direction in 1984 of the Bogotá Film Festival (BOGOCINE).

Henry Laguado, este promotor cinematográfico, figura estelar en la industria audiovisual de Colombia, que creyó firmemente durante décadas del cine independiente y de los nuevos realizadores nacionales e internacionales, nos convoca nuevamente a hacer presencia, disfrutar de este famoso festival d cine de Bogotá que desde 1984 se viene realizando en la capital de Colombia, Bogotá, en su versión No 43 se llevara a cabo del 20 al 26 de septiembre de este año y según nos cuenta su Director el Festival comenzó convocando a los nuevos realizadores y Directores de Cine de películas colombianas , al año siguiente los hizo con el cine andino, más tarde la del cine del caribe y así se fue posesionando y hoy es un Festival de Cine a nivel mundial, especializado en películas de largometrajes de los nuevos Directores.

Henry Laguado, this film promoter and star figure in the Colombian audiovisual industry, who has firmly believed in independent cinema and new national and international filmmakers for decades, invites us once again to attend and enjoy this famous Bogotá Film Festival, which has been held in Colombia’s capital, Bogotá, since 1984. Its 43rd edition will take place from September 20th to 26th of this year. According to its Director, the Festival began by showcasing new Colombian filmmakers and directors. The following year, it expanded to include Andean cinema, later Caribbean cinema, and so it gradually established itself. Today, it is a world-class film festival specializing in feature films by emerging directors.

LA COMPETENCIA / THE COMPETITION

A nivel mundial se premiará a la MEJOR PELICULA entre los tres primeros Largometrajes de un director que aún no haya realizado una cuarta película el Circulo Precolombino en las categorías de Oro, Plata y Bronce. También se premiará con el Circulo Precolombino al mejor director. Con este mismo galardón se premia a la Mejor Película de Cine Colombiana, al mejor documental social sobre arte y sobre el medio ambiente.

Globally, the BEST FILM will be awarded the Pre-Columbian Circle Award to one of the first three feature films by a director who has not yet made a fourth film, in the Gold, Silver, and Bronze categories. The Pre-Columbian Circle Award will also be given to the best director. This same award will be given to the Best Colombian Film, the Best Social Documentary on Art, and the Best Documentary on the Environment.

También habrá una sección especial de OTRAS MUESTRAS, fuera de concurso con los directores de más de cuatro películas invitados según el Reglamento del Festival, así mismo una muestra de cine contemporáneo, retrospectivas de directores, muestras especializadas y Cine Clásico.

There will also be a special section of OTHER SCREENINGS, out of competition, featuring directors of more than four films invited according to the Festival Regulations, as well as a showcase of contemporary cinema, director retrospectives, specialized screenings, and Classic Cinema.
