DIANA CORTES ARBELAEZ – President, Rotary Club of Cartagena de Indias 2026–27

Este primero de Julio asumió la Presidencia del Club Rotario Cartagena de Indias, para el periodo del 01 de Julio 2026 al 30 de Junio del 2027 la Terapista Ocupacional  DIANA CORTES ARBELAEZ,esta tolimense casada con el medico gastroenterólogo pediatra Rodrigo de Vivero Camacho y madre de 3 hijos Santiago, Rodrigo José, María Juliana, esta especialista en integración Sensorial con más de 25 años de experiencia profesional es la nueva Presidente del Club Rotario Cartagena de Indias, club con 19 años de fundado, con 26 socios activos y 6 socios honorarios, 1 Club Rotaract Cartagena de Indias y 1 Club Interact Cartagena de Indias-Cojowa

On July 1st, Occupational Therapist Diana Cortes Arbelaez assumed the presidency of the Rotary Club of Cartagena de Indias for the 2026–2027 term (July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027). Originally from Tolima, she is married to pediatric gastroenterologist Rodrigo de Vivero Camacho and is the mother of three children: Santiago, Rodrigo José, and María Juliana. A specialist in sensory integration with over 25 years of professional experience, she now leads the Rotary Club of Cartagena de Indias—an organization established 19 years ago that comprises 26 active members and 6 honorary members, and sponsors a Rotaract Club and an Interact Club (Cartagena de Indias-Cojowa).

En la Ceremonia de Trasmisión del Mando Rotario realizado  en el Club de Cartagena estuvieron presentes los Clubes rotarios Cartagena Empresarial y Cartagena Caribe.

The Rotary Club of Cartagena hosted the Rotary leadership handover ceremony, attended by the Cartagena Empresarial and Cartagena Caribe Rotary Clubs.

Con una extraordinaria hoja de vida rotaria ya que desde pequeña se encuentra participando activamente de Rotary, fue Interact, Rotaract, y Rotaria filosofía que vivió con su padre que fue Rotario, Diana llega este año a dirigir uno de los mejores clubes del Distrito 4271, un club de acción que se ve reflejado en sus programas y proyectos del cual destacamos:

Diana brings an extraordinary Rotary background to the role, having been actively involved in the organization since childhood—participating in Interact and Rotaract and embracing the Rotary philosophy alongside her Rotarian father. She now takes the helm of one of District 4271’s finest clubs—a club defined by action, as evidenced by its various programs and projects. Notable highlights include:

• Trabajo realizado en Rotary Pinta a Colombia, donde se pintaron la Institución Educativa San Lucas, y donde se establecieron 17 puntos ecológicos. E Interact que pinto la sede de la Fundación Ángeles Somos de Cartagena. Work carried out as part of the «Rotary Pinta a Colombia» (Rotary Paints Colombia) initiative, involving the painting of the San Lucas Educational Institution and the installation of 17 eco-stations; and an Interact project that involved painting the headquarters of the Ángeles Somos Foundation in Cartagena.
• RYLA – Con asistencia de mas de 250 jóvenes participantes RYLA – Attended by over 250 young participants.
• Dones de la Misericordia, con la construcción de la Casa de los Dones (Gifts of Mercy) – Construction of the «Casa de los Dones» (House of Gifts).
• Fundación Convivir de niños con cáncer. Convivir Foundation (supporting children with cancer).
• Fundación Madre Teresa de Calcuta Mother Teresa of Calcutta Foundation.
• Oasis de Jacquin. Taller y centro experimental ambiental el cual recibió este año Reconocimiento Internacional Ambiental. Oasis de Jacquin – An environmental workshop and experimental center that received an International Environmental Award this year.
• Traje, nuestro evento financiero donde a través de Donaciones recibidas ayudan a cristalizar todos estos sueños rotarios de Dar de Si, sin pensar en Si, y que ayuda también al programa Internacional de Rotary Fin a la Polio. «Traje» – Our fundraising event; through the donations received, we help bring to fruition these Rotary dreams of «Service Above Self,» while also supporting Rotary’s international «End Polio Now» program.

Clara Sagre Hernández Presidente Saliente es la nueva Asistente del Gobernador del Distrito 4271 Harold Bonilla.

Guillermo Lozano Sarah, our Global Tourism CEO in Colombia and a member of this club, received a Special Recognition and a Paul Harris Fellow award with three sapphires for his valuable work as a communicator. Outgoing President Clara Sagre Hernández has become the new Assistant Governor to District 4271 Governor Harold Bonilla.
