“LA LIBERTAD ES UN PRINCIPIO QUE DEFIENDO” Pergamino a la Libertad de Expresión para el cartonista “Luy”

This year, cartoonist Oscar Manuel Rodríguez Ochoa «Luy,» who celebrates 44 years of career, receives for the third time (2019, 2024, and 2025) the Pergamino de la Libertad de Expresión (Frame for Freedom of Expression), awarded by the Radio and Media Group, the Federation of Journalists in Defense of Freedom of Expression, and the Mexican Sports Confederation.

Este año el cartonista Oscar Manuel Rodríguez Ochoa “Luy”, quien cumple 44 años de trayectoria, recibe por tercera ocasión (2019, 2024 y 2025) el Pergamino a la Libertad de Expresión, que otorgan el Grupo Radiofónico y Medios, la Federación de Periodistas en Defensa de la Libertad de Expresión y la Confederación Deportiva Mexicana.

The multi-award-winning cartoonist Oscar Manuel Rodríguez, who collaborates with more than two hundred print and digital media in our country and abroad such as The World Press Agency, El Universal, Revista Cambio, El Día, La Revista Peninsular, Latitud Megalópolis, Ruiz Healy-Times, MexComunica (Málaga, Spain), Periodistas.es (Spain), among many others, attended the Mexican Sports Confederation (CODEME) in Mexico City, where more than eighty journalists from different states of our country received this recognition for their work within the framework of Freedom of Expression Day.

El multipremiado caricaturista Oscar Manuel Rodríguez, quien colabora para más de doscientos medios impresos y digitales en nuestro país y el extranjero como La Agencia Mundial de Prensa, El Universal, Revista Cambio, El Día, La Revista Peninsular, Latitud Megalópolis, Ruiz Healy-Times, MexComunica (Málaga España), Periodistas.es (España), entre muchos otros, acudió a la Confederación Deportiva Mexicana (CODEME) en la Ciudad de México, donde fue la cita a la que más de ochenta periodistas de distintos estados de nuestro país recibieron este reconocimiento a su labor en el marco del Día de la Libertad de Expresión.

In an effort «From Journalists to Journalists,» as each framed picture bearing the names of those who have dedicated their lives to journalism reads, the award ceremony began at noon. En un esfuerzo “De Periodistas para Periodistas”, como reza cada cuadro enmarcado con los nombres de quienes han dedicado su vida al periodismo, la ceremonia de entrega inició al mediodía y en el encuentro afortunado entre colegas, quienes tomaron la palabra coincidieron en que corren tiempos difíciles en el periodismo y hay que continuar defendiendo la libertad de expresión, recordando que al ejercer este derecho, compañeros fueron asesinados, por lo que se debe continuar a paso firme.
