SPEARHEAD: THE INVAMER SURVEY ON HEALTH SERVICES IN COLOMBIA

El Doctor Bruce Mac Master, presidente de la Asociación Nacional de Industriales de nuestro país, en buena hora y muy oportuna por cierto, solicitó los servicios de la reconocida encuestadora para que hiciera un sondeo a nivel nacional y conociera la opinión del ciudadano común, ese que camina desprevenido de toda influencia, para que diera su concepto espontáneo sobre el tema. Se hizo, justamente, en momentos en que cursa en el Senado de la República un proyecto de ley sobre el particular que, de aprobarse, llevaría a la ruina el sistema de salud del país, considerado uno de los más eficientes del mundo.

It was made, precisely, at a time when a bill on this matter is being considered in the Senate of the Republic, which, if approved, would lead to the ruin of the country’s health system, considered one of the most efficient in the world.

Más del 70 por ciento respondieron: Buenas, muy buenas y aceptables. Al comparar las opiniones ciudadanas con los criterios del gobierno del Doctor Gustavo Petro, se puede apreciar que no concuerda el argumento presidencial que descalifica caprichosa y políticamente la prestación de las EPS. Según su sabiduría sobre la ciencia médica y la administración de la salud, él dice que las EPS no funcionan y por lo tanto el estado debe asumirlas o controlarlas completamente para que puedan funcionar.

Lo curioso del asunto, es que las EPS que hoy por derecho y que por intervención estatal están a cargo del gobierno, que, dicho sea de paso, son algo numerosas, ¡están quebradas!, y la razón es porque el estado no les ha hecho los traslados en dinero para su sostenimiento y operatividad, mientras que las EPS particulares, con sus naturales defectos, pero con muchas más virtudes, son cumplidas y eficientes, y no están politizadas, y porque, además, se manejan con criterio técnico empresarial.

De lo anterior, y leyendo la radiografía del propósito y la intención presidencial, es fácil deducir que la idea, es debilitar a las EPS, para que, al volverlas anémicas económicamente, tengan recurrir al Estado, y eso nos remite a la anécdota de La gallina desplumada de Stalin, que al quitarle las plumas la dejo a la intemperie y a merced del frio y el hambre, razón para que siempre anduviera detrás del personaje soviético, mendigando comida, y abrigo. Era algo asi como una gallina mascota. ¿Eso es lo que desea que seamos los colombianos, señor presidente? No lo creemos y no lo aceptaremos. 100mil personas protestaron en varias ciudades convocadas, y lo hicieron con altura y con respeto, para decirle NO, a esas reformas.
