Cuando el empresario valenciano D. Alvaro Noguera comenzó su afición por los soldaditos siendo aún un niño no podía imaginarse las dimensiones que alcanzaría su colección con el pasar de los años.
When the Valencian businessman D. Alvaro Noguera began his love of little soldiers while still a child, he could not imagine the dimensions that his collection would reach over the years.
Recogiendo el testigo de su padre que no pudo ver culminado definitivamente su sueño hoy es su hijo Alejandro Noguera quien dirige éste único y exclusivo recinto en el que noventa cinco mil piezas de gran calidad se dan la mano recreando, lo más realistamente posible, algunas de las batallas y momentos históricos más importantes de la humanidad.
Picking up the baton from his father who could not see his dream definitively culminated, today it is his son Alejandro Noguera who directs this unique and exclusive venue in which ninety five thousand high-quality pieces go hand in hand, recreating, as realistically as possible, some of the the most important battles and historical moments of humanity.

«There was a need for a space that was large enough and in accordance with our aspirations to carry out such an ambitious project» The Malferit Palace -owned at the time by the Noguera family and currently managed through the Fundación Libertas 7- seemed to be the ideal place .
El palacio de estilo gótico mediterráneo cuenta hoy día con unas magníficas y modernas instalaciones en las que se llevan a cabo todo tipo de encuentros culturales y eventos

The Mediterranean Gothic-style palace today has magnificent and modern facilities in which all kinds of cultural meetings and events are held social. El mundo del coleccionismo en general y el de los soldaditos de plomo en particular mueven a un número importante de personas en todo el mundo. Muchas de ellas viajan desde muy lejos para conocer éste museo atraídos por la variedad y calidad de sus miniaturas. Y es que aquí, en el museo Liber, se ha tenido en cuenta hasta el más mínimo detalle: «Tenemos una recreación de lo que fue la batalla de Almansa y me enorgullece decir que la tierra sobre la que recreamos la contienda es original de la zona donde tuvo lugar» según nos cuenta Alejandro Noguera.
The world of collecting in general and that of tin soldiers in particular move a significant number of people around the world. Many of them travel from far away to visit this museum, attracted by the variety and quality of its miniatures. And it is that here, in the Liber museum, even the smallest detail has been taken into account: «We have a recreation of what the battle of Almansa was and I am proud to say that the land on which we recreate the battle is original to the area where it took place» according to Alejandro Noguera.
Dividido en varias secciones cada una de ellas tiene su particular historia como la dedicada a la moda y los grandes diseñadores «o la de los cómics muy valorada por los coleccionistas.»

«Muchas de nuestras miniaturas vienen de casas de subastas tan prestigiosas como Sotheby´s, Christie´s o la francesa Drouot. Otras se han hecho por encargo en los talleres de maestros artesanos. Nosotros mismos tenemos nuestra propia marca: FACAN «fets a casa nostra», siguiendo un poco con la enorme tradición juguetera de Valencia. Mis manos están llenas de cicatrices del plomo porque he esculpido, fundido y pintado cientos de miles de figuritas.»
«Many of our miniatures come from such prestigious auction houses as Sotheby’s, Christie’s or the French Drouot. Others have been made to order in the workshops of master craftsmen. We ourselves have our own brand: FACAN «fets a casa nostra «, continuing a bit with the enormous toy-making tradition of Valencia. My hands are full of lead scars because I have sculpted, cast and painted hundreds of thousands of little figures.»
En cuanto al mantenimiento del museo «hay que tener en cuenta que vienen muchos colegios y grupos de gente lo que conlleva algún que otro accidente. Volver a colocar las pequeñas figuritas en su lugar, limpiarlas una a una, etc….es una labor diaria que lleva un meticuloso proceso.»
As for the maintenance of the museum, «you have to bear in mind that many schools and groups of people come, which leads to the occasional accident. Putting the little figures back in their place, cleaning them one by one, etc… is a daily task. It takes a meticulous process.»
«Quisimos que el museo fuera algo más que un simple recorrido de estáticas figuritas en sus vitrinas» continúa Alejandro. «Lo hemos convertido en un paseo histórico dentro de una casa señorial de estilo mediterráneo propia del siglo XV que, ya de por sí, merece una visita.»
«We wanted the museum to be something more than a simple tour of static figures in their showcases» continues Alejandro. «We have turned it into a historic walk inside a Mediterranean-style manor house from the 15th century that, in itself, is worth a visit.»
«De la colección que consta de millón doscientas noventa y cinco mil piezas aproximadamente» (cuyo valor económico es difícilmente cuantificable) solo se expone una pequeña parte por cuestión meramente de espacio. «Tenemos guardadas en cajas protegidas y catalogadas alrededor de un millón doscientas mil miniaturas que vamos sacando a exposición poco a poco o que prestamos a otros museos u organizaciones con quienes colaboramos.»
Of the collection «which consists of approximately one million two hundred and ninety-five thousand pieces» (whose economic value is difficult to quantify) only one is exhibited. small part purely for reasons of space. «We have around one million two hundred thousand miniatures stored in protected and cataloged boxes that we are slowly putting on display or that we lend to other museums or organizations with whom we we collaborate.»
Oficialmente inaugurado en el año 2007. Fue su propulsor el coleccionista D. Álvaro Noguera quien comenzó los trámites para su fundación. Hoy es su hijo el responsable de éste museo dedicado a las miniaturas y los soldaditos de plomo que está muy lejos de ser un juego de niños «Porque hay que documentarse, indagar en la historia… Lo más importante es que el público que nos visita quede fascinado por los detalles, las recreaciones…..»
