Precisamente en la conmemoración de sus 496 años, Santa Marta socializa el cronograma de las Fiestas del Mar número 61, donde la alcaldesa de Santa Marta, Virna Johnson, anunció que el 30 de julio será inaugurada la obra del Camellón de la Bahía, que están en anda desde agosto de 2020.

Bajo estrictos protocolos de bioseguridad, la Alcaldía Distrital de Santa Marta en cabeza de Virna Johnson, se permitirá llevar a cabo una serenata «Sinfonía de Colores», esto, como uno de los tantos homenajes con ocasión del aniversario de la Perla de América, en sus 496 años de fundación. Es así como el distrito ha dispuesto estrictos protocolos de bioseguridad con los cuales se busca garantizar de manera segura, el desarrollo del evento, trayendo consigo igualmente la reactivación económica para Santa Marta.

Se conoció que todo aquel que asista al evento, serán ubicados en los palcos dispuestos para los espectadores, donde el distanciamiento social estará marcado a una distancia de dos metros y dispondrán de los puntos de bioseguridad implementados por el distrito para dicho certamen.

Para amenizar la celebración, se cuenta la presentación de más de 30 artistas locales, donde se destacan a Kamila Pimienta, Reynell y Rodrigo Scala; Estéreo Beach, «A Ritmo de Mujer», grupos de tamboras, la cuota del vallenato con Iván Villazón como también Martina ‘La Peligrosa’ y sus mezclas de champeta, cumbia, pop, rock y ritmos electrónicos.

En el marco de la Fiesta del Mar 2021, se realizará un conversatorio denominado “El poder femenino en la música”, con la participación de Martina “La Peligrosa”, Aida Bossa y Viviana Esparragoza, quienes dialogarán sobre el desarrollo artístico de las mujeres en la industria musical y sus experiencias particulares.
