Llegar a Malta mientras se navega por el Mar Mediterráneo fue una experiencia maravillosa. Había estado en lugares muy hermosos anteriormente, pero ahora parecía que me encontraba frente a una ciudad salida de un cuento de hadas, Valletta. La vista me llenó de emoción. Era una ciudad rodeada por inmensos muros de piedra sobre los cuales, a lo lejos, se podían ver las cúpulas de las antiguas iglesias góticas, barrocas y árabes, templos y mezquitas que reflejaban el profundo y diverso patrimonio de Malta.
