Todos, de una manera u otra, conocemos a alguien que ha padecido esta enfermedad. Sabemos de esa lucha incansable, de esos momentos que a veces parecen tornarse oscuros, de miedos y llantos, pero también de la fuerza, esperanza y alegría de saber que cada día es un día más para vencer esta enfermedad.
We all, in one way or another, know someone who has suffered from this disease. We know of that tireless fight, of those moments that sometimes seem to become dark, of fears and tears, but also of the strength, hope and joy of knowing that every day is another day to overcome this disease.
La importancia del conocimiento, la prevención y los avances en la cura del cáncer son fundamentales para que todos juntos podamos salir victoriosos de algo que nunca debemos olvidar que nosotras mismas o algún ser querido podemos padecer. Por ello, hoy dedico estas palabras y llamo a la reflexión y a la concienciación de seguir avanzando hacia un futuro mejor.
The importance of knowledge, prevention and advances in the cure of cancer are essential so that together we can emerge victorious from something that we must never forget that we ourselves or a loved one can suffer from. Hoy, conmemoramos el Día Contra el Cáncer de Mama. La concienciación sobre esta enfermedad es esencial, ya que la detección temprana puede marcar la diferencia entre la vida y la muerte. Durante octubre, diversas organizaciones y grupos comunitarios llevan a cabo campañas informativas, brindando recursos y apoyo a quienes enfrentan esta situación.
