El escenario del club estaba listo. Las luces tenues y la atmósfera íntima anticipaban una noche memorable. Los músicos, con instrumentos en mano, compartían sonrisas un poco nerviosas antes de que comenzara el espectáculo. La audiencia, una mezcla ecléctica de jóvenes y mayores, se acomodaba en mesas cercanas al escenario, ansiosos por dejarse llevar y por qué no contagiar por la música.

The club stage was ready. The dim lights and intimate atmosphere anticipated a memorable night. The musicians, instruments in hand, shared slightly nervous smiles before the show began. The audience, an eclectic mix of young and old, settled at tables near the stage, eager to let themselves go and why not be infected by the music.

La velada arrancó con suaves acordes de un sutil piano, seguidos por el susurro melódico de un saxofón. Los ritmos cobraban vida con cada nota… En cada canción, tejiendo historias, quizás aquellas que muchas veces guarda un corazón. La batería marcaba un pulso constante mientras el contrabajo añadía profundidad a la composición. Los músicos, entregados a la improvisación, creaban un diálogo musical único. Los solos brillaban con pasión y destreza, mostrando la habilidad técnica y la sensibilidad emocional de cada intérprete. La audiencia, cautivada, asentía al compás y dejaba que el jazz les transportara a otro lugar.

The evening began with soft chords of a subtle piano, followed by the melodic whisper of a saxophone. The rhythms came to life with each note… In each song, weaving stories, perhaps those that a heart often keeps. The drums set a constant pulse while the double bass added depth to the composition. Entre canción y canción, el anfitrión del evento compartía breves historias sobre la historia del jazz y sus grandes figuras, desde Louis Armstrong hasta Miles Davis. Y es que según nos cuenta entre la década de los años 50 a los 60 este género musical experimentó los sonidos y acordes del cool jazz, el hard bop y el free jazz desafiando las convenciones y consolidando la improvisación. La música, sin embargo, era la protagonista indiscutible de la noche, resonando en cada rincón del local y creando un vínculo especial entre artistas y oyentes. Conforme avanzaba la noche, la energía en la sala era palpable.

And according to what he tells us, between the 50s and 60s this musical genre experimented with the sounds and chords of cool jazz, hard bop and free jazz, challenging conventions and consolidating improvisation. The music, however, was the undisputed protagonist of the night, resonating in every corner of the venue and creating a special bond between artists and listeners. As the night progressed, the energy in the room was palpable.
