Barranquilla, 22 de noviembre – En un esfuerzo sin precedentes por fusionar el arte con la conciencia ambiental, en el día de ayer se inaugura «Magdalena», la obra de arte efímera callejera más grande de Latinoamérica, ubicada en la emblemática Plaza de la Paz de Barranquilla.

Barranquilla, November 22 – In an unprecedented effort to merge art with environmental awareness, «Magdalena» was inaugurated yesterday, the largest work of ephemeral street art in Latin America, located in the emblematic Plaza de la Paz from Barranquilla.

Con una imponente extensión de 1600 metros cuadrados y más de una tonelada de elementos reciclados, esta expresión artística se erige como un llamado a la reflexión sobre la importancia del cuidado del medio ambiente y los cuerpos de agua. La obra, que ha congregado a cientos de estudiantes para su creación, (cerca de 4.400 manos entre niños , jóvenes y maestros atlanticenses) representa un hito en la convergencia entre arte y conciencia ecológica.

With an imposing area of ​​1600 square meters and more than a ton of recycled elements, this artistic expression stands as a call to reflect on the importance of caring for the environment and bodies of water. The work, which has brought together hundreds of students for its creation (about 4,400 hands between children, young people and Atlantic teachers) represents a milestone in the convergence between art and ecological awareness.

“Nos hemos propuesto crear una gran obra de arte que llame a la reflexión sobre el cuidado del medio ambiente y envíe un mensaje de esperanza sobre la importancia de la cultura y la convivencia”, explicó la gobernadora Elsa Noguera, sobre la importancia de ‘Magdalena’.
