El Vick VapoRub es ese pote con un ungüento verduzco que todos conocemos desde niños muy utilizado por nuestros padres para aliviar la tos y otros síntomas del resfriado. Elaborado en base de levomentol, cristal sólido blanco con aroma a menta el cual le proporciona su aroma característico en su marca comercial. Si éste se utiliza solo, el levomentol podría causar dermatitis (sarpullido), pero disuelto en la fórmula comercial del Vicks VapoRub es perfectamente seguro por su contenido de aceite de eucalipto, que también le aporta ese aroma y vapor especial. El alcanfor es otro de los ingredientes, que en proporciones grandes sería perjudicial para la salud por lo que no se recomienda el uso de esta planta directamente pero si el alcanfor del producto comercial envasado….

El vaporub es un gran aliado para reducir esa grasa localizada que nos afea nuestra silueta, obviamente el no te bajará de peso por si solo si no haces una buena dieta y ejercicios. Por lo que como crema reductora casera puede ser útil para combatir la acumulación de grasa, eliminar celulitis, reafirmar tejidos de la piel, eliminar papada, vientre más plano y reducir centímetros.  Los ingredientes necesarios para la crema casera son el vaporub, media pastilla de alcanfor, bicarbonato y un poco de alcohol.  Luego deberás triturar muy bien la media pastilla de alcanfor, hasta que quede hecha polvo y mézclala muy bien con los otros ingredientes, hasta formar una pasta. Envásala en algún recipiente de plástico o vidrio y listo. Aplica esta crema en las noches, realizando masajes circulares, para luego envolver la zona con un plástico y dejar actuar la crema durante 30 minutos o toda la noche.
Puedes aplicarte esta crema reductora cuando estés en casa o antes de hacer tus ejercicios., ya preparada aplicarla en las áreas que desees y cubrir con plástico negro o fajas sujetadoras, también puedes aplicarla en el trabajo o antes de hacer tus ejercicios.

Vaporub para bebés / Steam rub for babies

Ingredientes / Ingredients

60 ml de aceite de coco y 10 gotas de aceite esencial de eucalipto o de lavanda o romero.

Preparación / Preparation

Calentar el aceite de coco lo suficiente sin que hierva y una vez muy caliente añadirle el aceite esencial de eucalipto (o el que hayas escogido) y mézclar. Verterlo sobre un frasquito de cristal dejarlo solidificar, apto para bebes.

Vaporub con manteca de cacao / Vaporub with cocoa butter

Derretir la manteca de cacao al baño María o en el microondas (en intervalos de 10 segundos) hasta que se derrita y quede líquido. Una vez derretido lo reservamos. Si has elegido aceite de coco sáltate este paso. Luego derrite manteca de cacao en baño maria y cuando esté completamente deshecha y líquida retíralo del fuego y añade el aceite que hayas elegido (o la manteca de coco derretida). Si habías elegido manteca de coco y durante este proceso ha empezado a solidificar de nuevo no te preocupes, puedes volver a calentarla para que vuelva a ser aceite. Remueve todo para que quede bien integrado. Una vez estén mezclados el aceite (o manteca) de coco con la manteca de cacao derretida ve añadiendo uno a uno los aceites esenciales (de romero, eucalipto y menta) luego vierte la mezcla en un frasco de cristal y dejar que se solidifique y tapar. Se puede almacenar en el mismo frasco hata un año.

120 ml de aceite de oliva, 240 ml de aceite de coco, 170 ml de cera de abeja (rallada), 35 gotas de aceite esencial de eucalipto, 30 gotas de aceite esencial de menta, 15 gotas de aceite esencial de romero, 15 gotas de aceite esencial de lavanda, 10 gotas de aceite esencial de alcanfor

Preparación / Preparation

Echar todos los ingredientes (aceites esenciales y la cera de abeja) en un bol o cacerola pequeña que pondrás sobre otra más grande llena de agua. De esta manera prepararás, un baño María con todos los ingredientes juntos y a fuego lento. Ir removiendo poco a poco todos los ingredientes hasta que la cera se haya fundido por completo. Una vez esté todo fundido y mezclado homogéneamente, verter la mezcla en un frasco de cristal opaco y déjarlo solidificar y también se puede conservar en el mismo frasco por un año.

Precauciones: Si vas a usar el Vick VapoRub comercial debes tomar en cuenta que si se utiliza inadecuadamente puede causar daños sobre todo en niños menores de 3 años y no debes aplicarlo en la zona de los ojos.. Incluso si es natural el producto, siempre usarlo con discresión.
