69th NATIONAL CONVENTIONAL JUNIOR CHAMBER (JCI Colombia) and JCI SENATE

Durante los días 10 11 12 de octubre se realizó en la ciudad de Valledupar, la 69º Convención Nacional de la Cámara Junior JCI Colombia y Senado Nacional, que reunió a mas de 200 personas entre Juniors, Senadores JCI e invitados internacionales que llegaron a la ciudad de los Santos Reyes en el Caribe Colombiano, aunque no tiene mar tiene dos famosos ríos el Rio Badillo y el Rio Guatapurí, mencionados en famosos vallenatos.

On October 10, 11, and 12, the 69th National Convention of the JCI Colombia Junior Chamber and National Senate was held in the city of Valledupar, bringing together more than 200 people including Juniors, JCI Senators, and international guests who came to the city of Santos Reyes in the Colombian Caribbean. Although it has no sea, it has two famous rivers, the Badillo River and the Guatapurí River, mentioned in famous vallenatos.

Realmente fue una experiencia única visitar la capital del Festival Vallenato de Colombia, gozar de una verdadera parranda vallenata con Iván Zuleta, es ciudad de tradición sus calles, su gastronomía, y su música son el alma de esta tierra cálida que enamora a quien la visita.

It was truly a unique experience to visit the capital of Colombia’s Vallenato Festival, enjoying a true vallenato party with Iván Zuleta. It’s a city of tradition; its streets, its cuisine, and its music are the soul of this warm land that captivates anyone who visits.

Cercana población a Valledupar, cuna de la Música Vallenata, hogar de innumerables compositores y poetas como el famoso Rafael Escalona, quien con otras figuras del vallenato, se encuentran en el Parque de las Monedas, se encuentran sus esculturas, además de ser Patillal la puerta de entrada a la Sierra Nevada.

En la noche los Senadores JCI asistentes e invitados gozaron de una verdadera parranda vallenata con el compositor cantante Iván Zuleta, acordeonero vallenato y actualmente Rey Vallenato 2025, hizo las delicias de la noche, haciendo bailar a todos los asistentes en una noche blanca de fantasía vallenata.

At night, the attending JCI Senators and guests enjoyed a true vallenato party with singer-songwriter Iván Zuleta, a vallenato accordionist and current Vallenato King 2025, who delighted the evening, getting everyone in attendance dancing on a white night of vallenato fantasy.

JCI Senator Leonardo Pérez Arias, a lawyer by profession from Santa Marta, with an excellent junior resume, was unanimously elected by the General Assembly. He was the National President of JCI Colombia and is now serving as the National President of the JCI Senate for 2026.
