PROFESSIONAL BASEBALL TAKES TO CARTAGENA.

Este pasado Domingo 14 de Julio, Cartagena de Indias volvió a vivir su fiesta Beisbolera con la inauguración del Colombian Baseball Classic Cartagena U-10, con la participación de deportistas beisboleros de Colombia, Panamá, México, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, República Dominicana. Argentina y Estados Unidos. Serán más de 200 partidos en este campeonato que termina el 20 de Julio.

This past Sunday, July 14, Cartagena de Indias once again experienced its Baseball festival with the inauguration of the Colombian Baseball Classic Cartagena U-10, with the participation of baseball athletes from Colombia, Panama, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, and the Dominican Republic. Argentina and the United States. There will be more than 200 games in this championship that ends on July 20.

Un total de 12 equipos de las subcategorías sub-10,14 equipos en la subcategoría Sub-12,24 equipos en la categoría sub-14 y 20 equipos en la subcategoría sub-17, es fiesta beisbolera se vive en Cartagena y hace vibrar a esta ciudad caribeña, que vio llegar el Beisbol en 1897, con cubanos y panameños que se asentaron en la ciudad.

A total of 12 teams in the sub-10 subcategories, 14 teams in the sub-12 subcategory, 24 teams in the sub-14 category and 20 teams in the sub-17 subcategory, this is a baseball festival that takes place in Cartagena and makes everyone vibrate. this Caribbean city, which saw the arrival of Baseball in 1897, with Cubans and Panamanians who settled in the city.

El Beisbol es un deporte de bate y pelota, jugado en campo abierto por dos equipos en nueve entradas de juego.

Baseball is a bat and ball sport, played in an open field by two teams in nine innings of play.

Colombia ha tenido el privilegio en 1947 y 1965 de ser Campeón Mundial de este deporte. Se recuerda especialmente a Carlos “Petaca” Rodriguez, Pedro “Chita”  Miranda ,y Andrés “Venao” Flores como los lideres que obtienen este título mundial

Este campeonato se estará realizando en varios de los estadios que tiene la ciudad de Cartagena, y este campeonato traiga el fervor y entusiasmo que se tenia por el Beisbol de esta fantástica y caribeña ciudad.

This championship will be held in several of the stadiums that the city of Cartagena has, and this championship will bring the fervor and enthusiasm that was had for Baseball in this fantastic Caribbean city.
