SPAIN: With Wide Representation of all the Sectors of the Society «Giving of Awards in the Cathedral of Valencia for the 20th anniversary of the Camino del Santo Grail Cultural Association»

Anunciado en su momento, el pasado viernes 8 de julio de 2022 un nutrido grupo de colaboradores de muy distintas disciplinas, representantes de la clase política y profesionales de diferentes sectores se dieron cita en la Capilla del Santo Cáliz de la Catedral de Valencia para recibir de manos de la Presidenta de la «Asociación Cultural Camino del Santo Grial» la Dra. Ana Mafé un reconocimiento con el que poner en valor el esfuerzo en la difusión no solo del Santo Grial como pieza única en el mundo si no por defender, de una u otra manera, los valores que representa.

Announced at the time, last Friday, July 8, 2022, a large group of collaborators from very different disciplines, representatives of the political class and professionals from different sectors gathered in the Chapel of the Holy Chalice of the Cathedral of Valencia to receive from hands of the President of the «Cultural Association Path of the Holy Grail» Dr. Ana Mafé a recognition with which to value the effort in the dissemination not only of the Holy Grail as a unique piece in the world but to defend, of a or otherwise, the values ​​it represents.

Con el telón de fondo de las delicadas notas musicales de un arpa D. Alvaro Almenar Custodio-Celador del Santo Cáliz y responsable de protocolo de la Catedral, encabezó junto a la Dra. Ana Mafé, el emotivo acto presidido en todo momento por el Santo Cáliz, el Santo Grial que, según la tradición y los estudios técnicos realizados por expertos durante años, bien pudo tener entre sus manos Jesús antes de ser crucificado. En un ambiente de celebración y gratitud pero también de emotivo recogimiento todos y cada uno de los convocados en las distintas áreas fueron recibiendo de manos de la Dra. Mafé los preciados recuerdos con los que se conmemoraba el nacimiento hace ya 20 años de la «Asociación Cultural Camino del Santo Grial».

Against the backdrop of the delicate musical notes of a harp, D. Alvaro Almenar Custodian-Celador of the Holy Chalice and head of protocol for the Cathedral, led, together with Dr. Ana Mafé, the emotional act presided over at all times by the Holy Chalice, the Holy Grail that, according to tradition and technical studies carried out by experts over the years, Jesus could well have held in his hands before being crucified. In an atmosphere of celebration and gratitude but also of emotional recollection, each and every one of those summoned in the different areas received from the hands of Dr. Mafé the precious memories with which the birth was commemorated 20 years ago of the «Association Cultural Path of the Holy Grail».

Hubo también palabras de sincero agradecimiento para quienes han dejado en el Camino y la Asociación su huella a lo largo del tiempo y para quienes ya no se encuentran desgraciadamente entre nosotros pero colaboraron en vida, en su crecimiento, divulgación, estudio y desarrollo. Junto al galardón personalizado y acreditativo con el que se daba fé del momento se hizo entrega a cada uno de los homenajeados de otros dos objetos de enorme valor por su significado y su belleza: un pañuelo de seda (no podemos olvidar la importancia de Valencia dentro de la conocida como Ruta de la Seda y el estrecho lazo artesanal que la une a tan noble material) pintado a mano para la ocasión con el sello numerado e identificativo de la marca Artesanía Valenciana y una pieza única y muy original presentada en forma de práctico pisa papeles de piedra con las credenciales del peregrino estampadas de un Camino que cada vez cuenta con mayor número de adeptos y muestras de interés internacional. Actividades de todo tipo se han ido celebrando a lo largo de éste año. Un año en que Valencia es, además, capital mundial del diseño para conmemorar los 20 años de la Asociación. En el futuro más inmediato el II Congreso Internacional Divulgación y Periodismo Camino del Santo Grial que a consecuencia de la pandemia no ha podido celebrarse hasta ahora tras un exitoso I Congreso.

There were also words of sincere gratitude for those who have left their mark on the Camino and the Association over time and for those who are unfortunately no longer among us but collaborated in life, in its growth, dissemination, study and development. Together with the personalized and accrediting award with which the moment was confirmed, each of the honorees was given two other objects of enormous value due to their meaning and beauty: a silk scarf (we cannot forget the importance of Valencia within known as the Silk Road and the narrow artisan bond that unites it to such a noble material) hand-painted for the occasion with the numbered and identifying seal of the Valencian Crafts brand and a unique and very original piece presented in the form of a practical stepping on stone papers stamped with the pilgrim’s credentials of a Way that has an increasing number of followers and signs of international interest. Activities of all kinds have been held throughout this year. A year in which Valencia is also the world capital of design to commemorate the 20 years of the Association. In the immediate future, the II International Congress on Dissemination and Journalism Camino del Santo Grail, which as a result of the pandemic has not been able to be held until now after a successful I Congress.

Agradecer personalmente, la consideración que con quien firma éste artículo, se ha tenido tanto por parte de la Asociación Cultural Camino del Santo Grial así como por su Presidenta la Dra. Ana Mafé y poner en relieve el intenso trabajo, esfuerzo y tesón que sobre todo en los últimos años viene siendo tónica general en todo aquello que emprenden como lo demuestran los estrechos lazos que se han ido forjando con la comunidad China en Valencia y cuya generosidad se puso de manifiesto a lo largo del acto.

Con tan solo cinco ejemplares de estos magníficos tapices en todo el mundo realizados por la «Asociación Internacional de ciudades de San Lorenzo» y el «Comitato San Lorenzo Diácono e Martire nel Mondo» de la Basílica de San Lorenzo (Italia) se hallan enmarcados en madera noble tallada siguiendo el proceso de pan de oro. Tres maravillosas obras de arte a las que sumar el minucioso trabajo de la valenciana artista Eva Escamilla de Ensedarte y su recreación pictórica del Santo Cáliz en cada uno de estos coloridos y exclusivos tapices con tres destinatarios muy especiales: Emmo. y Rvdmo. Sr. Cardenal D.Antonio Cañizares Llovera, Cardenal -Arzobispo de Valencia, Emmo. y Rvdmo.Sr .D.Carlos Osoro Sierra (Cardenal-Arzobispo de Madrid al que se hará entrega del tapiz en los próximos dias) y el tercer y último al Rvdo. D. Gustavo Riveiro DÁngelo Director del departamento de Pastoral del Turismo de la Conferencia Episcopal Española (CEE).

With only five copies of these magnificent tapestries in the world made by the «International Association of Cities of San Lorenzo» and the «Comitato San Lorenzo Diácono e Martire nel Mondo» of the Basilica of San Lorenzo (Italy) they are framed in Noble wood carved following the gold leaf process. Three wonderful works of art to which to add the meticulous work of the Valencian artist Eva Escamilla de Ensedarte and her pictorial recreation of the Holy Chalice in each of these colorful and exclusive tapestries with three very special recipients: Erm. and Rt. Mr. Cardinal D.Antonio Cañizares Llovera, Cardinal-Archbishop of Valencia, His Excellency. and Rvdmo.Sr.D.Carlos Osoro Sierra (Cardinal-Archbishop of Madrid to whom the tapestry will be delivered in the next few days) and the third and last to Rvdo. Mr. Gustavo Riveiro DÁngelo Director of the Pastoral Department of Tourism of the Spanish Episcopal Conference (CEE).
