THE STRESS

La palabra es de origen anglosajón «stress«. Si buscamos la palabra estrés en el diccionario de la Real Academia de la Lengua Española, (RAE) la definición es: tensión provocada por situaciones agobiantes que originan reacciones psicosomáticas o trastornos psicológicos a veces graves. Hans Selye en 1935 introdujo el concepto para la psicología como síndrome o conjunto de reacciones fisiológicas no especificas del organismo a diferentes agentes nocivos del ambiente de naturaleza física o química.
