ARTES: ESPAÑA, FRANCISCO ARROYO CEBALLOS NOMBRADO DELEGADO de la AEPE en CORDOBA

At the meeting of the Board of Directors of the Spanish Association of Painters and Sculptors held on February 14, 2025, the proposal presented by the President of the century-old entity, José Gabriel Astudillo López, for the appointment of member Francis Arroyo Ceballos as Delegate of the AEPE in Córdoba was unanimously approved.

En la reunión de la Junta Directiva de la Asociación Española de Pintores y Escultores celebrada el 14 de febrero de 2025, resultó aprobada por unanimidad la propuesta que presentara el Presidente de la centenaria entidad, José Gabriel Astudillo López, para el nombramiento como Delegado de la AEPE en Córdoba, del socio Francis Arroyo Ceballos.

“The growing collaboration between the plastic artist and writer and the century-old entity has been materializing with the production of various publications in which the institution appears, as well as in future projects of mutual interest, which represent an important contribution that must be recognized in some way.

“La creciente colaboración que entre el artista plástico y escritor y la centenaria entidad, se viene materializando con la realización distintas publicaciones en las que aparece la institución, así como en futuros proyectos de interés mutuo, que suponen una importante contribución que de alguna manera debe ser reconocida.

The professional and personal career of the member endorses his work to date. Around him there is an important colony of artists not only in the city of Córdoba, where he resides, but throughout Andalucia.

La trayectoria profesional y personal del socio, avalan su trabajo realizado hasta la fecha. A su alrededor aglutina una importante colonia de artistas no sólo en la ciudad de Córdoba, donde reside, sino en toda Andalucía.

His creative interest also led him to interact with the world of culture, constituting an important asset that the Spanish Association of Painters and Sculptors wishes to recognise through his appointment as Delegate of the AEPE in Córdoba.

Su inquietud creativa le lleva además, a relacionarse con el mundo de la cultura, constituyendo un importante activo que la Asociación Española de Pintores y Escultores quiere reconocer mediante su nombramiento como Delegado de la AEPE en Córdoba.

Throughout the long history of the entity, which this year celebrates 115 years, there have been many members from Córdoba that our institution has counted on. Some are well-known, others less so, some almost anonymous, but all of them have contributed to the history, glory and prestige of our AEPE.

A lo largo de la dilatada historia de la entidad, que este mismo año cumple 115 años, han sido muchos los socios cordobeses con los que ha contado nuestra institución. Unos conocidos, otros menos, algunos casi anónimos, pero todos ellos han contribuido a la historia, a la gloria y prestigio de nuestra AEPE.

But if we had to mention the two AEPE Delegates officially appointed for Córdoba, we would stop at two names: the painter Enrique Romero de Torres, brother of the also member Julio, and the sculptor Amadeo Ruiz Olmos, known for being the author of the monument to Maimonides in the Caliphate city and teacher of Mateo Inurria.

Pero si tuviéramos que citar a los dos Delegados de la AEPE oficialmente nombrados para Córdoba, nos detendríamos en dos nombres: el pintor Enrique Romero de Torres, hermano del también socio Julio, y el escultor Amadeo Ruiz Olmos, conocido por ser el autor del monumento a  Maimónides en la ciudad califal y maestro de Mateo Inurria.

After the difficult years in which the AEPE maintained a more modest activity, the Spanish Association of Painters and Sculptors, in the midst of the effervescence of artistic and cultural life in Spain, reactivates one of its delegations with the appointment of the plastic artist and writer Francis Arroyo Ceballos, in the certainty that those who have preceded him will guide him along the difficult path of the twinning of Cordoban and Andalusian artists, in projects that will make Cordoba shine as a city committed to art and culture.

Tras los difíciles años en los que la AEPE se mantuvo con una actividad más modesta, la Asociación Española de Pintores y Escultores, en plena efervescencia de la vida artística y cultural en España, reactiva una de sus delegaciones con el nombramiento del artista plástico y escritor Francis Arroyo Ceballos, en la seguridad de que quienes le han precedido, le guiarán por el difícil camino del hermanamiento de los artistas cordobeses y andaluces, en proyectos que harán brillar a Córdoba como ciudad comprometida con el arte y la cultura”.

In April 2013 a museum with his name was opened in Fuente Palmera (Córdoba). On March 12, 2014 he was selected to present a work of his authorship to the Japanese Ambassador in Spain, Mr. Satoru Satoh, at a commemorative event for the dual year Spain-Japan held in Córdoba.

In March 2015 he was named a member of the International Association of Art Critics AICA at a meeting held in Paris for his years of work as a member of the Spanish Association of Art Critics AECA.

En marzo de 2015 es nombrado en reunión celebrada en París miembro de la Asoc. Internacional de Críticos de Arte AICA por su trabajo de años desarrollado como miembro de la Asoc. Española de Criticos de Arte AECA.

In November 2016 he was awarded international recognition by MAI Colombia (International Artistic Movement Colombia) for his cultural and artistic work.

En noviembre de 2016 le es concedido por el MAI Colombia (Movimiento Artístico Internacional Colombia) un reconocimiento internacional a su gestión cultural y artística.

In December 2017 he was named Honorary Member by the Board of Directors of the Foundation Art Without Borders for Peace (Colombia) and in 2019 by the World Organization of Integrated Artists OMAI (Mexico).

En Diciembre de 2017 es nombrado miembro Honorario por la junta directiva de la Fundación Arte Sin Fronteras por la Paz (Colombia) y en 2019 por la Organización Mundial de Artistas Integrados OMAI (México).

In January 2018 he founded the Cordoba group “Córdoba Contemporánea”.

In 2019 the World Organization of Integrated Artists OMAI (Mexico) awarded him recognition for his entire career.

In September 2021 he received the 1st International Prize for Literary Creation “Antonio Segovia Lobillo”, organized by the Canarian Foundation “Antonio Segovia Lobillo” (Santa Cruz de Tenerife) and the City Council of Moclinejo (Málaga).

En septiembre 2021 obtiene el I Premio Internacional de Creación Literaria «Antonio Segovia Lobillo», organizado por la Fundación canaria «Antonio Segovia Lobillo» (Santa Cruz de Tenerife) y el Ayuntamiento de Moclinejo (Málaga).

In 2021, the exhibition project to which he belongs “Héroes con bata” receives the Flag of Andalusia for the Arts. The communication group Blanco Sobre Negro Góngora awards him the 1st Prize for Culture – Painting on January 15, 2022.

In the middle of the year he receives the International Ibero-American Prize “Nevado de Oro” (Mendoza, Argentina).

En Octubre del mismo año recibe con Córdoba Contemporánea el «Premio Qurtuba 2022» de la Asociación Cultural Córdoba Solo Hay Una y en noviembre 2022 la Real Academia de Ciencias, Bellas Letras y Nobles Artes de Córdoba les hace entrega del “Premio Nobles Artes” en el centenario de su Boletín.

In 2023 he became director of the magazine “Espacio Cultura” and published the book “Hablemos de Arte”.
