Cartagena and the Beauty of Colombian Women CNB 2025

En este noviembre del 2025 es el año del regreso triunfal de la belleza en Cartagena, el regreso del Concurso Nacional de la Belleza o CNB se vive con toda su historia.

El concurso vuelve con toda su fuerza con 26 mujeres que aspiran a llevarse el trono y cetro de belleza Señorita Colombia 2025-2026 en esta edición que reivindica tradición, turismo, e identidad regional y nacional con los departamentos y regiones que representan.

HISTORIA / HISTORY

EL CNB fue fundado en 1934 en Cartagena de Indias, como muestra de identidad cultural, belleza, y como homenaje a esa Independencia de Cartagena, por Ernesto Carlos Martelo, y que se hace paralelo a estas grandes fiestas de la Independencia en una de las ciudades más bella e histórica del mundo. Para esta 71ª edición la ciudad, la Alcaldía Mayor y la organización del certamen firmaron un acuerdo para garantizar su realización durante las festividades del 11 de noviembre. Para Colombia y sus departamentos, ciudades y regiones es mas que una gala de belleza, la competencia es un símbolo de identidad, de proyección turística y de orgullo regional, como lo señalo el Gobernador de Bolívar Yamil Arana, además de la llegada de las candidatas, medios, y visitantes significa un gran impulso económico para los sectores de Hoteles, turismo, gastronómicos y el comercial de Cartagena.

The CNB was founded in 1934 in Cartagena de Indias, as a display of cultural identity, beauty, and as a tribute to that Independence of Cartagena, by Ernesto Carlos Martelo, and it runs parallel to these great Independence festivities in one of the most beautiful and historic cities in the world. For this 71st edition, the city, the Mayor’s Office, and the event’s organization signed an agreement to guarantee its realization during the festivities of November 11. For Colombia and its departments, cities, and regions, it is more than a beauty gala; the competition is a symbol of identity, tourist projection, and regional pride, as noted by the Governor of Bolívar, Yamil Arana. Additionally, the arrival of the candidates, media, and visitors means a great economic boost for the hotel, tourism, gastronomic, and commercial sectors of Cartagena.

Un total de 26 hermosas mujeres representando a sus ciudades, departamentos y regiones llegaron este lunes 10 de noviembre para iniciar la agenda de eventos que incluye la entrega de las llaves de la ciudad, imposición de bandas, desfile en traje artesanal, entrevista con el jurado, el tradicional desfile en traje de baño y la noche de elección y coronación de la mujer mas bella de Colombia y que representara al país en Miss Internacional en Tokio Japón 2026.

A total of 26 beautiful women representing their cities, departments, and regions arrived this Monday, November 10, to begin the agenda of events that includes the delivery of the city keys, imposition of sashes, parade in artisanal costume, interview with the jury, the traditional swimsuit parade, and the night of election and coronation of the most beautiful woman in Colombia, who will represent the country at Miss International in Tokyo, Japan 2026.

Durante el desfile del Traje Artesanal este 12 de noviembre, la Señorita Bolívar obtuvo el reconocimiento mediante voto popular por su imponente vestido que le hizo homenaje a los artesanos bolivarense siendo elegido el mejor vestido artesanal mientras que la señorita Valle, obtuvo reconocimientos del jurado por su traje inspirado en las cantadoras del pacifico.

During the Artisanal Costume Parade this November 12, Señorita Bolívar received recognition through popular vote for her imposing dress that paid homage to Bolívar artisans, being chosen as the best artisanal costume, while Señorita Valle received recognition from the jury for her outfit inspired by the singers of the Pacific.

Las autoridades de Bolívar, han dicho sobre el concurso que es un acto de reivindicación cultural señalando que el certamen y las fiestas de independencia nacieron y crecieron juntos, Las candidatas no solo mostraran belleza, sino liderazgo, compromiso social y vocación de servicio importantes en esta competencia de belleza.

The authorities of Bolívar have said about the contest that it is an act of cultural vindication, noting that the pageant and the independence festivities were born and grew together. The candidates will not only show beauty, but also leadership, social commitment, and a vocation for service, which are important in this beauty competition.

Cuando la corono se entregue este 17 de noviembre, no solo se elegirá una reina. Sino que se renovara el símbolo de la belleza con propósito en Colombia.

When the crown is awarded this November 17, not only will a queen be chosen, but the symbol of beauty with purpose in Colombia will be renewed.

El certamen fue fundado en 1934, siendo elegida como Señorita Colombia Yolanda Emiliani Román del Departamento de Bolívar.

The pageant was founded in 1934, with Yolanda Emiliani Román from the Department of Bolívar being elected as Señorita Colombia.

Hasta la fecha se han elegidos 67 mujeres colombianas como Señoritas Colombia, que han obtenido por dos veces el título de Miss Universo con Luz Marina Zuluaga y Paulina Vega y 3 Miss Internacional Stella Márquez, Paulina Gálvez y Jeymmy Paola Vargas, todas participantes en Miss Colombia certamen de Cartagena.

To date, 67 Colombian women have been elected as Señoritas Colombia, who have obtained the Miss Universe title twice with Luz Marina Zuluaga and Paulina Vega, and three Miss International titles with Stella Márquez, Paulina Gálvez, and Jeymmy Paola Vargas, all participants in the Miss Colombia pageant in Cartagena.

Los departamentos que mas coronas de Señorita Colombia tienen son Atlántico y Valle con 12 reinas, y le siguen Antioquia, Bolívar y Santander con 7 coronas.

The departments with the most Señorita Colombia crowns are Atlántico and Valle with 12 queens each, followed by Antioquia, Bolívar, and Santander with 7 crowns.
