DAVE MARTINUS, ASAC President 2024-2025, chairs the 15th ASAC Meeting of JCI Senators in Medellín, Colombia.

El 15º Encuentro de la Asociación de Senadores JCI de las Americas y el Caribe, 2025 se realizará en la ciudad de Medellín Colombia del 03 al 07 de septiembre del presente año.

The 15th Meeting of the Association of JCI Senators of the Americas and the Caribbean, 2025, will be held in Medellín, Colombia, from September 3 to 7 of this year.

Con unos objetivos claros como los de facilitar la comunicación entre los organismos miembros de Asac, apoyar la participación en eventos empresariales y sociales organizados por los Senados JCI de las Américas y del Caribe, consolidar y fortalecer el apoyo en la JCI a organizaciones locales y nacionales.

With clear objectives such as facilitating communication among Asac member organizations, supporting participation in business and social events organized by the JCI Senates of the Americas and the Caribbean, and consolidating and strengthening JCI support for local and national organizations.

Dave Martinus Senador JCI de Aruba fue elegido presidente de la organización, que ha estado activa durante 22 años. En este tiempo, el Senado de Aruba ha tenido la oportunidad de ocupar esta posición en dos ocasiones, y Martinus está orgulloso de desempeñar este rol.

Dave Martinus, JCI Senator from Aruba, was elected president of the organization, which has been active for 22 years. During this time, the Aruban Senate has had the opportunity to serve in this position twice, and Martinus is proud to serve in this role.

Martinus destacó el considerable trabajo que queda por hacer. Aunque los aspectos ceremoniales son significativos, la organización ASAC abarca todas las regiones, y el legado de cada país involucra fomentar amistades, comercio y oportunidades de networking. La tarea principal de Martinus es inspirar a los jóvenes de todo el Caribe, Norteamérica y Sudamérica para que se involucren con la organización y asuman roles de liderazgo. También continuará construyendo relaciones y redes sólidas para aquellos reconocidos como miembros vitalicios de ASAC.

Martinus highlighted the considerable work that remains to be done. While the ceremonial aspects are significant, the ASAC organization spans all regions, and each country’s legacy involves fostering friendships, trade, and networking opportunities. Martinus’s primary task is to inspire young people throughout the Caribbean, North America, and South America to get involved with the organization and take on leadership roles. He will also continue to build strong relationships and networks for those recognized as ASAC Life Members.

Realizar este 15º Encuentro en Medellín, destaca la importancia que tiene el Consejo de Senadores JCI de Antioquia, que ofrecerá a todos los Senadores visitantes y acompañantes un variado programa con 3 días de actividades culturales y artísticas,3 salidas turísticas fuera de la ciudad de Medellin,Desayunos, almuerzos y Cenas por 4 dias,Eventos de Instalación y Clausura, Noche de las Naciones donde los Senadores de los países asistentes brindan una noche de amistad y recreación a los participantes Y la gran Asamblea de ASAC, donde elegirá a la nueve Junta y Directiva 2025-2026 y nuevo Presidente, honor que este años se disputan 2 grandes líderes como Obdulia Mosquera de Colombia con su lema “ La experiencia nos inspira el compromiso nos une.” y Lucas Morales de Panamá su lema “Juntos forjemos nuestro legado” aspiran ser el nuevo Presidente de ASAC 2025 -2026.

Holding this 15th Meeting in Medellin highlights the importance of the JCI Senators Council of Antioquia, which will offer all visiting Senators and companions a varied program with 3 days of cultural and artistic activities, 3 tourist trips outside the city of Medellin, breakfasts, lunches and dinners for 4 days, Installation and Closing Events, Night of the Nations where the Senators of the attending countries provide a night of friendship and recreation to the participants And the great ASAC Assembly, where the new Board and Directors 2025-2026 and a new President will be elected, an honor that this year is being disputed by 2 great leaders such as Obdulia Mosquera from Colombia with her motto «Experience inspires us, commitment unites us.» and Lucas Morales from Panama with his motto «Together let’s forge our legacy» aspire to be the new President of ASAC 2025 -2026.
