FORO DE TURISMO MEDITERRÁNEO CELEBRA LA 8ª EDICIÓN en MALTA: «VIDA MEDITERRÁNEA» Las inversiones de bajo impacto benefician a todos Malta-Hilton 21 al 23 de noviembre de 2023

With the presence of important personalities such as HE Dr. George Vella, President of Malta, HE Borut Pahor, former President of Slovenia, Hon Clayton Bartolo, Minister of Tourism of Malta, Mr. Tony Zahra, President and co-founder of Mediterranean Tourism Foundation, Mr. Andrew Agius Muscat, Secretary General of the Mediterranean Tourism Foundation, Mr. Tijani Haddad, President of the International Federation of Journalists and Travel Writers FIJET, and Former Minister of Tourism of Tunisia, Mr. Bilal Eski, Director General of Turkish Airlines, and influential tourism and hospitality personalities started this great event under the theme “LIFE”. Low Impact Investments Benefit Everyone, exploring their economic, philosophical and sociological aspects.

Con la presencia de importantes personalidades como SE Dr. George Vella, Presidente de Malta, SE Borut Pahor, ex Presidente de Eslovenia, Hon Clayton Bartolo, Ministro de Turismo de Malta, Sr. Tony Zahra, Presidente y cofundador de Turismo del Mediterráneo Fundación, Sr. Andrew Agius Muscat, Secretario General de la Fundación de Turismo del Mediterráneo, Sr. Tijani Haddad, Presidente de la Federación Internacional de Periodistas y Escritores de Viajes FIJET, y Ex Ministro de Turismo de Túnez, Sr. Bilal Eski, Director General de Turquía Aerolíneas e influyentes personalidades del turismo y la hotelería iniciaron este gran evento bajo el tema “VIDA”. The Mediterranean Tourism Foundation founded in 2013 is a nonprofit organization, independent and impartial international organization for public-private cooperation. It aims to increase the potential of sustainable tourism growth across the Mediterranean, by transforming the region into an area of peace, cooperation and stability through regional cooperation and projects including commercial initiatives. The MTF has as patron H.E Dr George Vella, President of Malta who is a highly active advocate for peace in the Mediterranean region through the promotion of sustainable tourism growth. 

La Fundación Turismo del Mediterráneo fundada en 2013 es una organización internacional sin ánimo de lucro, independiente e imparcial para la cooperación público-privada. Su objetivo es aumentar el potencial de crecimiento del turismo sostenible en todo el Mediterráneo, transformando la región en un área de paz, cooperación y estabilidad a través de la cooperación regional y proyectos que incluyan iniciativas comerciales. El MTF tiene como patrocinador a S.E. Dr. George Vella, Presidente de Malta, quien es un defensor muy activo de la paz en la región del Mediterráneo a través de la promoción del crecimiento del turismo sostenible.

The Mediterranean Tourism Foundation has over the past decade developed a strong international network and delivered various concrete initiatives in various fields including music and events, technology, embellishment of cities, training and development, religious tourism and service excellence and safety. MTF has partnered with leading organizations and personalities in the world including, WSP, Grimshaw, Radio Italia, Andrea Bocelli, Matteo Bocelli, Sebastian Yatra, and Forbes Travel Guide amongst others. The MTF also manages the Mediterranean Orchestra and Choir as led by the internationally acclaimed orchestra conductor Maestro Bruno Santori.

The Mediterranean Tourism Foundation organizes the Mediterranean Tourism Forum which is a yearly gathering that brings together leaders of society and other stakeholders holding an interest in Mediterranean tourism and peace. Indeed, representatives of governments, top executives, leaders of international organizations and relevant non-governmental organizations, the most prominent cultural thought leaders and brilliant minds come together each year with the aim to define priorities and shape Mediterranean tourism agendas. 

La Fundación de Turismo del Mediterráneo organiza el Foro de Turismo del Mediterráneo, que es un encuentro anual que reúne a líderes de la sociedad y otras partes interesadas en el turismo y la paz del Mediterráneo. This year the most important topics of the forum was comprised of various specialized master classes and panels of discussion emphasizing the theme of LIFE, the preservation of the Mediterranean way of life, aiming for importance of the green agenda and advocating for sustainability in the travel, hospitality and tourism sectors.

The origins of the Mediterranean Tourism Awards organized by the Mediterranean Tourism Foundation lie in the foundation’s commitment to promoting tourism as a vehicle for stability, peace, and hope for the people of the Mediterranean region.

The Mediterranean Tourism Gala Awards Dinner ceremony was a remarkable success, rewarding personalities who have stood out in different areas of tourism, hospitality, cultural preservation, gastronomy, environmental sustainability, and innovation.
