2025: The first steps towards a year of art, culture and transformations

Los primeros días del 2025 ya nos han mostrado un panorama vibrante y lleno de posibilidades que se abre como un abanico de oportunidades, con un espíritu renovado que nos invita a soñar en grande. Este inicio de año no solo marca un calendario nuevo , sino un lienzo en blanco para escribir nuevas historias, vivir nuevas aventuras, hacer realidad los planes y avanzar hacia metas a nivel personal y porque no, también en el ámbito laboral.

The first days of 2025 have already shown us a vibrant panorama full of possibilities that opens up like a fan of opportunities, with a renewed spirit that invites us to dream big. This beginning of the year not only marks a new calendar, but also a blank canvas to write new stories, live new adventures, make plans come true and move towards goals on a personal level and why not, also in the workplace.

El mundo del arte ya empieza a palpitar con eventos y proyectos que prometen dejar huello y maravillar a más de uno. Desde exposiciones que exploran las conexiones humanas hasta festivales que celebran nuestras raíces culturales, y la agenda cultural a nivel mundial no tiene pausa. Barcelona se prepara para nuevas ediciones de Manifesta y otras ferias internacionales, mientras en Colombia los festivales folclóricos y musicales ya comienzan a vivirse como el Carnaval de Negros y Blanco en Pasto, Feria de Manizales y el Carnaval de Barranquilla que se llevará a cabo en el mes marzo.

The art world is already beginning to pulsate with events and projects that promise to leave a mark and amaze more than one. Barcelona is preparing for new editions of Manifesta and other international fairs, while in Colombia folkloric and musical festivals are already beginning to take place, such as the Black and White Carnival in Pasto, the Manizales Fair and the Barranquilla Carnival that will take place in the March month.

El clima aunque caprichoso y marcado por fenómenos como el aumento de lluvias o frentes fríos en algunos lugares, no ha impedido que los creadores sigan produciendo obras que reflejan su entorno. En estos días he podido apreciar obras de artistas que hablan de los retos de la modernidad y la resiliencia. The climate, although capricious and marked by phenomena such as increased rainfall or cold fronts in some places, has not prevented creators from continuing to produce works that reflect their environment. These days I have been able to appreciate works by artists who speak about the challenges of modernity and resilience. En el ámbito laboral, este año promete ser un tiempo de reinvención. En marketing cultural surgen agencias y colectivos que buscan posicionarse como referentes en la difusión de arte a nivel local, nacional e internacional.

In the workplace, this year promises to be a time of reinvention. In cultural marketing, agencies and groups emerge that seek to position themselves as leaders in the dissemination of art at a local, national and international level.

A nivel personal, los sueños de emprender proyectos, liderar iniciativas o explorar nuevas disciplinas artísticas también encuentran terreno fértil. Este puede ser el año para lanzarse a la escritura, experimentar con la fotografía o aprender una danza que llevas años esperando. Este puede ser año de atreverse a vivir lo inimaginable.

On a personal level, dreams of undertaking projects, leading initiatives or exploring new artistic disciplines also find fertile ground. This may be the year to embark on writing, experiment with photography or learn a dance that you have been waiting for for years. This can be the year of daring to live the unimaginable.

En estos primeros días del año la reflexión más poderosa que puedo hacer es que no hay tiempo que perder. Cada día que pasa es una oportunidad para construir, explorar y vivir plenamente. La frase «el momento es ahora» resuena con fuerza en mi cabeza, es una invitación a dejar de lado el miedo y actuar con determinación. Los peros existen, los fracasos también , pero nada debe opacar nuestro anhelo de brillar.

In these first days of the year the most powerful reflection I can make is that there is no time to waste. Every day that passes is an opportunity to build, explore and live fully. The phrase «the time is now» resonates strongly in my head, it is an invitation to put aside fear and act with determination. The buts exist, the failures too, but nothing should overshadow our desire to shine.

Así como el arte se adapta a nuevas narrativas y los profesionales se reinventan, cada uno de nosotros tiene la posibilidad de ser protagonista de su propia historia ¿Qué esperas para dar el primer paso?
