CARMEN CECILIA VELEZ CASTRO, GOVERNOR OF ROTARY DISTRICT 4271 OF COLOMBIA

Este 01 de Julio de 2023 asume la Gobernación del Distrito 4271 Carmen Cecilia Vélez Castro, miembro fundador del Club Rotario Cartagena de Indias y primera mujer de este Club de asumir tan distinguida posición de liderazgo de esta gran organización Internacional como Rotary.

This July 1, 2023, Carmen Cecilia Vélez Castro, founding member of the Cartagena de Indias Rotary Club and the first woman from this Club to assume such a distinguished leadership position of this great international organization as Rotary, assumes the Governorship of District 4271.

Carmen Cecilia, Cartagenera es Economista de Profesión y dedicada a los Bienes y Raíces. Tendrá bajo su responsabilidad guiar a los 64 clubes que tiene su distrito. Un Gobernador del Distrito, debe desplegar excelentes destrezas en liderazgo y toma de decisiones, los clubes rotarios buscan apoyo en liderazgo. Apoyo y motivación para llevar a cabo sus proyectos de servicio y participar en los programas de Rotary. Orienta sobre las estrategias innovadoras para el crecimiento de Rotary basados en la flexibilidad, la diversidad, y las maneras de involucrar a todos los socios del club en los proyectos de servicios comunitarios.

Carmen Cecilia, Cartagenera is an Economist by profession and dedicated to Real Estate. He will be responsible for guiding the 64 clubs in his district. A District Governor must display excellent leadership and decision-making skills, Rotary clubs seek leadership support. Support and motivation to carry out their service projects and participate in Rotary programs. Guidance on innovative strategies for growing Rotary based on flexibility, diversity, and ways to involve all club members in community service projects.

Son cinco las avenidas del servicio que tiene Rotary para este desarrollo de trabajo, de Gente de acción, en su organigrama. Servicios al club, Servicio a través de la ocupación, Servicio a la comunidad, Servicio Internacional y Servicio a las nuevas generaciones.

There are five avenues of service that Rotary has for this development of work, People of Action, in its organization chart. Services to the club, Service through occupation, Service to the community, International Service and Service to the new generations.

Carmen Cecilia es socia fundadora del Club Rotario Cartagena de Indias, fue su presidente y ocupó diversos cargos a nivel local, distrital hasta llegar a ser Funcionaria Internacional de Rotary como Gobernadora del Distrito 4271 de Colombia.

Carmen Cecilia is a founding member of the Cartagena de Indias Rotary Club, was its president and held various positions at the local, district level until she became a Rotary International Officer as Governor of District 4271 of Colombia.

El Club Rotario Cartagena de Indias en sus 16 años de Fundación, es un club que se ha distinguido por su liderazgo, trabajo comunitario y Subvenciones Internacionales que ha tenido a lo largo de su vida rotaria, cuenta con 1 Club Rotaract, 1 Club Interact. Dos grupos de Fomento Rotario en las veredas de Leticia y el Recreo a orillas del Canal del Dique a 45 minutos de Cartagena. Su trabajo ha recibido distinciones a nivel Distrital e Internacional, en la actualidad cuenta con 32 socios activos.

The Cartagena de Indias Rotary Club in its 16 years of Foundation, is a club that has distinguished itself for its leadership, community work and International Grants that it has received throughout its Rotary life, it has 1 Rotaract Club, 1 Interact Club. 1 Club Interact. Two Rotary Promotion groups in the villages of Leticia and El Recreo on the banks of the Canal del Dique, 45 minutes from Cartagena. His work has received distinctions at the District and International level, currently he has 32 active members.

En el Club Cartagena asumirá el mando nuestra Gobernadora 2023-2024, acompañada de los Presidentes de los 4 clubes de la ciudad y de los Clubes Rotaract e Interact Cartagena de Indias, en ceremonia especial donde por El Club Rotario Cartagena de Indias, su nueva Presidente es Marlen Vélez Vásquez, Economista de profesión que con su equipo de trabajo seguirá dándole brillo a tan excelente club rotario.

In the Cartagena Club, our Governor 2023-2024 will assume command, accompanied by the Presidents of the 4 clubs of the city and the Rotaract and Interact Cartagena de Indias Clubs, in a special ceremony where the Cartagena Rotary Club of Indias, its new President is Marlen Vélez Vásquez, an Economist by profession who, with her work team, will continue to shine such an excellent Rotary club.
